"Missionaries - you don't have to have it all together. Remember, God wants to do as much in you as he wants to do through you." #prefield_orientation

At the @UpstreamSending Sending Church Gathering today we’re hearing from Pastor @Jamaal711 on the importance of building a multiethnic kingdom culture in our sending churches
Hearing from @bradleyrbell on how to maintain a vibrant spiritual life as a sent one. #prefield_orientation
"A healthy level of contextualization honors both God's word and the host culture, avoiding the two ditches of over-contextualization and under-contextualization." #prefield_orientation
"Neither the gospel not its fruit - Christians and churches - are tied to any one culture, people or language. Instead, the global church is just that: global. She is intended to be multi-ethnic and diverse." #prefield_orientation
"Pursing the Great Commandment is part of the missio dei, but pursing the Great Commission is the missionary task." #prefield_orientation
"God's missions strategy is the local church. We want to do ministry in, through, and alongside the local church." #prefield_orientation
Today we begin our first ever Pre-field Orientation. We'll spend four days investing in eight new sent ones headed to Asia and Europe.
Over the next few days we'll share quotes from of orientation.
This week we have two big events. A gathering of our Network missions pastors and leaders and a pre-field orientation for new missionaries.
Would you pray for our staff, speakers, and for those coming?
