“Waterloo” was written for the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest. The original title was “Honey Pie.” The group chose it over another song, “Hasta Mañana,” because it was more fun to perform. On 6 April 1974, ABBA won the contest in Brighton with the track, scoring 24 points.
It became the group’s first release under the name ABBA and their first No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, where it spent two weeks at the top. It also reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in several European countries. The win launched ABBA internationally and marked the start of their string of nine UK No. 1 singles.

THE TRAJECTORY
Caitlin Clark is 24 years old.
The most interesting thing about her career is not what she has already accomplished.
It is the direction it is moving.
At Iowa, the ascent started almost immediately.
She finished her college career with 3,951 points, 1,144 assists, 990 rebounds and 548 three pointers while averaging 28.4 points per game.
She became the NCAA Division I all time scoring leader, men or women.
She won two Naismith Player of the Year awards, two Wooden Awards and two AP Player of the Year awards.
She took Iowa to consecutive national championship games.
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
The bigger the stage became, the bigger she became.
She had 41 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists against Louisville in the NCAA Tournament.
She scored 41 against undefeated South Carolina in the Final Four.
She had 49 points and 13 assists against Michigan when she became the NCAA women’s all time scoring leader.
She scored 35 against Ohio State when she passed Pete Maravich for the Division I scoring record.
Then she gave LSU 41 points and 12 assists in the Elite Eight to return Iowa to the Final Four.
By the time she entered the WNBA, the question was whether that trajectory could continue against the best players in the world.
It did.
As a rookie in 2024, she averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists.
She won Rookie of the Year, made the All WNBA First Team, led the league in assists and became the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple double.
She also became the first rookie with a 30 point, 10 assist game and set the WNBA single game record with 19 assists.
Indiana had won 13 games the season before she arrived.
With Clark, they won 20 and reached the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Then came 2025.
Injuries limited her to 13 games.
She still averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists, but for the first time the climb was interrupted.
That interruption matters because of what happened next.
In 2026, she returned and moved higher.
She averaged 22.3 points, 8.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from three and 85.2 percent from the line.
She finished third in the league in scoring and second in assists.
She became the first player in WNBA history to finish a season in the top three in both categories.
She finished fourth in MVP voting.
She was named an All Star for the third consecutive season.
And the statement games became even bigger.
She scored 45 points with 10 assists against Seattle, the first 40 point, 10 assist game in WNBA history.
Then, facing playoff elimination, she had 27 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists.
Another first.
The first 20 point, 15 assist playoff game in league history.
Indiana won 28 games, the most in franchise history.
Through three WNBA seasons, Clark has 1,874 points, 785 assists, 450 rebounds and 265 three pointers.
Her career averages are now 20.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists.
That is the part of her career that gets lost when people argue about where she ranks today.
At Iowa, she broke records.
As a rookie, she broke expectations.
Injuries interrupted the line.
Then she came back higher.
Caitlin Clark is still only 24.
The story is not where she is.
It is where she is going.
A career is not defined by a snapshot.
It is defined by its trajectory.

Her Ceiling Is Being Permanently Capped, And It’s Bigger Than Basketball
Three Years Of First Round Exits, Injuries, Poor Coaching, Bad Roster Construction, And Front Office Mismanagement, She’ll NEVER Get Those Years Back!
Meanwhile, Future Rookies Will Enter Better Situations And Have Opportunities To Surpass Her.
Caitlin Was Supposed To Push Records Beyond The Realm Of Possible Reach But Instead, Her Ceiling Is Shrinking.
The Good News? It’s Still Early Enough To Change The Narrative.. But If Things Don’t Change NOW, Caitlin Clark Could Become The Biggest WHAT IF In Basketball History & I Say That As A Die Hard Caitlin Fan
It’s gotta be so frustrating to hate Caitlin Clark because you literally can’t escape her. Everywhere you turn she’s in a commercial, she’s at an NFL game, she’s on College Gameday, etc. She’s not even playing in the WNBA Finals and she’s still the biggest headline

Taylor Swift attending Kansas City Chiefs games is hardly breaking news anymore. But put Caitlin Clark beside her, and suddenly USA TODAY can't stop talking about it.
Meanwhile, the WNBA FINALS are fighting for attention.
USA TODAY published multiple posts featuring Caitlin Clark alongside Taylor Swift at a Chiefs game. Around the same time, the publication was promoting the celebrity-filled WNBA Finals as another showcase for the league.
Now look at the audience response.
CAITLIN CLARK:
WNBA FINALS CELEBRITY COVERAGE:
That's roughly 22 TIMES the likes for the Clark posts, even though the Finals feature had been published hours earlier.
Think about that. The league is staging its championship series, bringing celebrities courtside and working overtime to generate excitement. Yet two social media posts featuring Caitlin Clark WATCHING AN NFL GAME are generating substantially more engagement.
Celebrity appearances, promotional campaigns and manufactured excitement cannot substitute for genuine public demand.
The WNBA can aggressively push tickets, celebrate modest television audiences as historic achievements, and endlessly congratulate itself over its Finals. But sustainable growth requires building an audience that consistently returns, invests and engages.
Caitlin Clark has become the most powerful individual attraction in women's professional sports. Her influence extends far beyond the basketball court.
And while the league continues trying to establish that its popularity extends beyond Clark, the public keeps demonstrating just how extraordinary her drawing power has become.

Caitlin Clark didn’t just have a great career at Iowa.
She had one of the greatest careers college basketball has ever seen.
3,951 points.
1,144 assists.
990 rebounds.
548 threes.
NCAA Division I all-time scoring leader.
Back-to-back National Player of the Year.
Back-to-back national championship games.
A 41-point triple-double in the Elite Eight.
41 points to knock off undefeated South Carolina in the Final Four.
41 points and 12 assists against LSU to return to the Final Four a year later.
But Clark’s Iowa legacy is bigger than numbers.
She turned 30-footers into normal shots. Turned passes into highlights. Turned Iowa games into national events.
Records fell. Arenas filled. Ratings exploded.
By the end, people weren’t simply watching women’s college basketball.
They were scheduling their day around Caitlin Clark.
That’s impact.
That’s legacy.

This was the Indiana Fever team everybody loved in 2024 when Christie Sides gave the keys to Caitlin and the team was fast and fun to watch. Then sw was hired and just ruined everything making them boring with a boring motion offense and causing chaos within the team, fans,Caitlin and removing things that worked like the pick & roll, changing players games instead of letting them play to their strengths and just destroying any chance of making them the contenders we thought they could be and sw recruiting her sisterhood buddies like DB & Syd Colson who never fit in

WNBA Playoffs Lost 70–76% of Viewers After Caitlin Clark Was Eliminated
Once Clark was out, the semifinals couldn’t hold the audience. The massive drop has reignited the debate over how much of the league’s playoff viewership was driven by her.
MICHAEL JORDAN DIDN’T WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP OVERNIGHT!
Michael Jordan played roughly 500 NBA regular season games before winning his first championship.
Caitlin Clark has played just 93 WNBA games!
Give this woman a BREAK! She’s already shown us how special she is, breaking records, changing the game, and bringing new fans to women’s basketball.
Even the greatest players need time, the right teammates, and the right circumstances to win it all.

In the future does the WNBA & media really think people are going to remember AjA & all her MVP awards or are we going to remember Caitlin who busted the door down to bring everything she has brought. The world remembers Princess Diana & Caitlin Clark will be the one we remember.
