Choosing to build an enduring community a few years ago, which is 100% inclusive around identity, and focused on #VC_impact aligned with the #UNSDGs was one of the best decisions I've made in the past decade! Am deeply grateful to our 10k+ member base @posi2ive. 🧵
It's taught me to be assertive about our mission as a community, to guard the interests of our members, and enabled us to encourage new solutions over rehashing old problems. It's taught me the value of consistently having a mindset around paying-it-forward.
When I dove into becoming an impact-focused Angel five years ago without having raised venture $ nor exited--it was a way to better understand the venture market. And to meet other Emerging Fund Managers as I moved toward launching @ResponsiblyVC -- now around 500 Family Offices/GPs who share deals and make LP intros together in our private sub-community.
I've had so many positive experiences building our sub-communities -- e.g., THE HIVE, #GoodMarkets, and our private LP/GP community. Have ran hundreds of live roundtables, and produced podcasts for two years with some outstanding guests.

We'll be building our first branded and community centered website in the next few weeks, and plan to eventually steer my efforts toward a Foundation centered on Sustainability and Social Good (backing innovators who are making Venture Scale Positive Impacts).
