won 1st place at the @OpenAI codex hackathon! 🥇
i built StoryWorld, a 3D movie studio in your pocket.
made with iOS ARKit + RealityKit, @DeemosTech Rodin, and @fal
coding, engineering, building. none of it matters in isolation. the value comes from the problems you solve.

The threat to @beehiiv isn't marc lou (guy's a jester).
The actual threat to beehiiv is that humans will stop reading their email.
AI agents don't read newsletters.
Even today, the Apple summary front-runs the need to open for a percentage of readers.
This means the ad model for newsletters is gone in 3 years.
The conversion math also becomes tougher and tougher, even with a huge list.
If everyone is using Claude/Muse/Grok as their LifeHQ (which they will), the only newsletters that get read will be personality/opinion driven (for fun).
The "own your audience" frame also dilutes when the layer between your words and the human buyer is designed to avoid consuming it.
This is not a beehiiv problem, it's an email problem in general.
Beehiiv is diversifying into other products, which is smart.
But one of the core tenets of audience building (just get their email and you're golden) is starting to weaken.

Our first look at Bytedance's new World Model, and it looks impressive (Subtitled video):
More than just a world model, check out what it can do with Camera Paths in Stephen Chow's King of Comedy.
Text-to-navigable 3D worlds: A single sentence/description generates an explorable virtual environment.
Free exploration: Users can roam or fly through the scene (e.g., on a paper plane) with keyboard/mouse controls.
Real-time interaction and editing: Spawn objects on demand (such as a spoon), interact with them (climb it), and further modify the scene with additional commands.
Cross-scene connectivity: An “any door”/portal feature that links unrelated environments (e.g., walk out of a room into outer space).
AI makes it easier than ever to build apps, games, and businesses. but just because something is easier to do doesn't mean you should do it.
starting an app or game studio because AI makes development fast is like opening a restaurant just because you can microwave food
