شهاب زهدی، جوان آزادی‌خواه بازداشت‌شده در خیزش دی ماه، بار دیگر در بی‌دادگاه‌های نمایشی رژیم جنایتکار جمهوری اسلامی به اعدام محکوم شده است.

Shahab Zohdi, arrested during Iran's January national uprising, has once again been sentenced to death in the sham trials of the Islamic Republic’s criminal regime.
Currently held in Ghezel-Hesar Prison in Alborz Province, Shahab was initially sentenced to death in February 2026, a verdict that was later overturned by the regime's Supreme Court. In the same case, four brave young men, Mohammad Amin Biglari, Shahin Vahedparast, Amir-Hossein Hatami, and Ali Fahim, were executed, and now Shahab’s life is once again in imminent danger of execution.

باید گریست به حال دانشگاهی که چنین نادانی در آن تاریخ درس می‌دهد.
نخست آنکه حتی به خود زحمت نداده است که تقدم و تأخر وقایع تاریخی را بسنجد! پیشینۀ ساخت تندیس‌های بودای بامیان به سدۀ ششم میلادی بازمی‌گردد، حال آنکه کردیر در اواخر سدۀ سوم میلادی می‌زیسته است.
در سدۀ سوم میلادی، شاهنشاهی ساسانی با همسایۀ شرقیِ رو به زوالِ خود، یعنی شاهنشاهی کوشانی، در کشاکش بود و سرانجام بر بخش‌های بزرگی از قلمرو کوشانیان، چیره شد. شواهد سکه‌شناختی نشان می‌دهد که این نواحی مدتی به دست کوشانشاهان ساسانی اداره می‌شد و مدتی نیز مستقیماً زیر فرمان شاهنشاه ساسانی بود. در سده‌های بعد، پادشاهی‌هایی از اقوام موسوم به هون‌های ایرانی و سپس ترکان غربی در بخش‌هایی از این سرزمین‌ها روی کار آمدند.
مسئلۀ دامنه و گستردگی آیین بودایی در روزگار ساسانیان و یافته‌های باستان‌شناختی در شرق جهان ایرانی بسیار پیچیده‌تر از آن است که بشود با یک توییت درباره‌اش اظهار نظر کرد. کاوش‌ها و پژوهش‌های باستان‌شناختی در چندین محوطۀ مهم، از مس‌عینک لوگر و تپۀ مرنجان کابل تا قره‌تپه و فیاض‌تپۀ ترمذ و جز اینها، نشان می‌دهد که در روزگار فرمانروایی ساسانیان، به‌ویژه از سدۀ چهارم میلادی بدین سو، بسیاری از نیایشگاه‌های بودایی همچنان پابرجا بودند و رونق داشتند. برخی از نیایشگاه‌ها که پیش‌تر آسیب دیده بودند مرمت شدند و شماری دیگر گسترش یافتند. برخی از باستان‌شناسان حتی شواهدی پراکنده از حضور بوداییان در نواحی غربی‌تر فلات ایران در زمان ساسانیان یافته‌اند.
قیاس ساسانیان با طالبان، بیش از هر چیز، نشانۀ ناآگاهی گویندۀ آن از تاریخ و پیچیدگی‌های تحولات دینی و فرهنگی در دوران باستان است. باید گریست به حال دانشگاهی که به چنین کسی مدرک تاریخ داده و دانشگاه دیگری که او را به تدریس تاریخ گماشته است.
