I made a website that plays bangers from indian barbershops
before you became fancy and started visiting salons. you once went to a 'saloon'. ₹20 haircuts. simple hairstyles with music that could fix your soul.

I've just seen a moving short film by @varunt5. It says a lot in just 26 minutes. Love, loss, understanding & more. Don't want to give the story away. Thanks @ShobhaTharoor for recommending. youtube.com/watch?v=hjYTPhqE…

Varun Tandon’s latest short film Thursday Special (2026), backed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Shoojit Sircar, premiered on Humans of Cinema’s YouTube channel on January 29. Since its release, the film has steadily reached audiences across rural, urban and even international contexts. Amid this reception, it becomes important to examine what truly goes into the making of a thirty-minute film and the many years of labour invested in shaping it.

Thursday Special review: It is a 27 min short film that gently reminds us how, in the rinse-and-repeat rhythm of everyday life, we often forget the most important act of all-living. Shot in a grainy, photo-album-like aspect ratio that feels like flipping through fading memories.
