It's very simple. I hate the non-football guests.
It's now just cross-promotion crap and people who are embarrassing themselves by pretending they like football.
The only guests anyone would want to see are other QBs and legendary players who have something to offer and aren't trying to sell something.
The ManningCast audience continues to decline. At some point, it's not sustainable. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…
The NFL has been some of its sloppiest and least competitive it's ever been.
We still see preseason football well into October.
Coaches can't properly practice with the players; training and conditioning are weaker, which is why we see so many basic injuries; they took away 1 preseason game; many starters barely play in the preseason, if at all; and training camp is a joke.
Players are trying to go from zero to 100 instead of easing into the regular season. They do little, then wham, go full throttle when the season starts.
If Mahomes is hitting a wall, it's not the league around him; it's his style catching up with him, as it historically does with QBs who rely on physical play.
I said for years that each year he should slowly transition to a pocket passer if he wants to have a long, effective career.
He's still relying on instinct and physical play to guide him, and because he is so good at that, he can still make it work to a certain extent.
But each year it will get tougher and tougher, especially now that he has that injury.
Mahomes' best shot at longevity as a great QB is to transition to reading defenses and pocket passing.
Stop resorting to leaving the pocket after the first read breaks down.
Mahomes is still an effective player. He has intangibles like leadership that help him greatly. With the Chiefs at 5-1, he's still being effective and is still more valuable than most of the other QBs in the league.
But even that won't be good enough over time if his abilities start to fade and he can't make up for it in other areas.

It's not him. It's his fans and the industry
The massive delusion
Instead of allowing all of us to enjoy his career for what it is, you guys had to say "he's the GOAT" type bullshit.
People don't like that unless there's some validity to it.
As a person, I think he's a good dude
Hold on.
I have been assured that only Patrick Mahomes has done this, and only Patrick Mahomes is capable.
That we've never seen anything like this before.
Are you saying I've been lied to?
There's NO FUCKING WAY he was serious! C'mon. Was this a bit? Please, for his immortal soul, tell me this was a bit!

Our sport is in serious trouble, guys.
@NFLOfficiating @NFL
Very questionable roughing the passer call against the #Packers that everyone on the telecast disagreed with, including Tom Brady, who said: “I don’t like it either.” 🤷🏻♂️

@NFL @NFLOfficiating let’s just go to flag football if everytime a qb gets touched it’s roughing the passer!
Honestly, this is scary bad for the future of the NFL. I think we're much closer to losing our sport than I originally thought.

It's got to be Cam Newton refusing to jump on his own fumble in the Super Bowl.
That wasn't some random accident like the buttfumble or running out of bounds for a safety; that was a conscious decision not to care and go in after it.
That's humiliating.
