Today, I'm thinking about everyone who made this moment possible.
The people who stood in long lines, marched in the heat and fought for the right to vote long before any of us were here. They didn't always get to see the change they fought for. But they believed in it anyway, and that belief carried us here.

She wasn’t assaulted because she’s Jewish, she was assaulted because she turned to a bystander and said ‘doesn’t she dress like she’d be raped in Iran’.
Whether you believe in fighting words or not, this was objectively not the hate crime you’re making it out to be.
A Jewish woman, @basedinmalibu, was violently assaulted earlier today by Temulun Togochog, a Mongolian immigrant.
Togochog was promptly taken into custody by @umichdpss.
Togochog is a May 2026 graduate of Mercer County Community College in New Jersey and is now attending @UMich for global ethnic studies.
