.@Delta and now you all reticketed us, we only have one of 3 seats and the reservation is messed up such that TSA won't let us thru security. HELP!!
. @Delta I have an infant in arms on my ticket & your system won't let anyone check me in and issue boarding pass. Not me, not airport agent, not the station manager. Your help phone num just hangs up. Wtf??
Thank you @NYCSpeakerAdams for taking action on this crisis and thank you @CMCarlinaRivera for cosponsoring! We need more housing in *everybody's* backyard in NYC. And once we set an example here it will be harder for upstate NIMBYs to fight their fair share!

Thank you to all 33 of my @NYCCouncil colleagues co-sponsoring this important legislation!
So good to know in hindsight...

Good Afternoon. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. A review of the operating records showed that the 3:02 PM train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven departed at 3:03 PM from Track 20. ^psp
Completely unacceptable. This is why even the most ardent transit advocates have a hard time answering people who question why we should throw more money at @MTA with Congestion Pricing

@MetroNorth what happened to train 6538?? Everything shows track 19 departure. Hundred of ppl waiting. No train.

How about just "man dies..."? Leading with cyclist makes it about the mode and is also a dog whistle to many people for 1) entitled MAMIL road biker
2) "scofflaw cyclist" who was probably doing something wrong
Here’s a few better headlines:
"Cyclist dies after being hit by driver" or
"Cyclist dies from failure to regulate large pickup trucks" or
"Cyclist dies after city prioritizes cars over people for gazillionth day"
This needs to stop.

I'm not sure there's ever been a better illustration of both the American Cult of the Car and the American Deference to the Rich than this extremely sympathetic profile of a wealthy woman who killed 2 kids driving 80 MPH in a residential neighborhood while inebriated
Remember back when the Macy's floats were bigger than the trucks pulling them? #tbt
I'm AT the Airport station, which is the terminus. Why do displays only show *arrival* times @MARTAservice? Have to check @transitapp to find departure times, which are far more relevant.

Apple’s monopoly power over apps and app distribution is back in the news this week.
Here’s why that matters, and why lawmakers at the federal and state level need to tackle Apple’s abuse.
Buckle up for an App Store thread people! 1/?
No, Uber charged you for your trip to Philly and the driver's trip back to Manhattan, since they have to get back before they can get another paying fare. Not sure tho why @Uber charges you $20 for PANYNJ tolls that are max $16...
Good thing we figured out a way to not disrupt all these cars spewing climate change-inducing emissions while we undertake a massive climate change adaptation project to protect all the people around here who statistically speaking aren't responsible for many of said emissions.
Does anyone else in #bikenyc ask questions of @TransAlt and get no response?
Maybe @bikenewyork or somebody else can advise?
Remember this? Well now the condo bldg on the corner of this development is harassing cyclists for parking the only places there are.
@TransAlt @BicyclesOnly is this even legal if bikes are in the public sidewalk ROW?

The way NYC treats bus riders is a true stain on the city.

Massive new development with amazingly wide pedestrian areas, but not a single bike rack in sight. How is this not a simple requirement anytime something new like this gets built. 1 bike rack per 2 car lengths of curb frontage?

A very NYC approach: "solve" a problem with cumbersome rules, act surprised when things don't change much, but cost of living continues to get more expensive
Solving the #trashcity problem by having trash bags go out onto the sidewalk later is going to do very little, but cost building owners a lot. Now they have to pay supers and porters overtime to work until 8 pm? Labor is already a huge cost politico.com/news/2022/10/17…
Mayor's "solution" to the broken trash system: put your trash out later and we'll try to pick it up earlier.
Missing: addressing any of the actual problems.
It's time to take out the trash and start a new chapter in making NYC the cleanest city in America.
Reducing the amount of time trash can remain on the curb is a generations overdue move that will have a major impact on the cleanliness of our streets.

How to greenwash a big box store on fringe of a megacity:
1 Plant native vegetation on store roof (50% of site
2 Put park amenities on top of parking garage (30% of site)
3 Pitch to Fast Company that whole store is under a park
