Raptadu mandal, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh: Class 10 Girl Critically Injured After Man Attacks Her With Chainsaw Inside School; Accused Flees
A shocking incident has been reported from a government high school in Raptadu mandal, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, where a Class 10 student was allegedly attacked by a man wielding an electric tree-cutting machine (chainsaw).
According to preliminary reports, the attacker entered the school premises and brutally assaulted the girl, reportedly targeting her following her rejection of his romantic advances.
The victim sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Anantapur Government Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment in the ICU.
Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the accused, who fled after the attack. The circumstances surrounding the incident and the motive behind it are being investigated.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns over security arrangements inside educational institutions and the safety of female students, even within school premises.
