And that's why the bulma slap hit so well in the movie. It was sudden, brutal and unexpected. Vegeta stooped so low for beerus but he did not give a damn abt all that when Bulma was hurt in front of him. That was him snapping against all odds.

In BoG they put in all those goofy elements and still made beerus seem like a threat. He's only harmless if he's happy. The fact that even Vegeta set aside his pride n ego to make sure beerus doesn't get pissed made the entire situation all the more serious.

Since the episode didn't portray any of this it was lacklustre. There was not much tension in the air bc the party scenes were so rushed. We were supposed to feel the growing tension Vegeta also felt watching beerus do well with a crowd who doesn't know what he's capable of.

Tbh not making Vegeta do all tht made beerus seem less of a threat than how he was portrayed right up until his flashback to his childhood . Beerus traumatised him so bad he hid that memory of him as a child to cope. Ppl who say bingo dance was ooc dont get his character at all
