Most market participants are not appreciating the significance of a potential loss of a 4-month range on Bitcoin The closest parallel we can draw is to that of the range of May 2021 where we also came off a parabolic rally of BTC and alts $50B+ of crypto leverage here is similarly at near an ATH (chart does not include CME which is higher), but compounded by the fact that in this scenario we have ranged even longer (18 weeks vs 13), and we have not had extreme washouts yet while we had a few in the middle of the 2020-2021 bull market It's likely that my initial estimates of low $50ks were too conservative and we see a more extreme reset to $40ks. Such an pullback would be quite damaging to the market and likely require a few months of chop/downtrend (recovery period) before a reversal of an upward trend would be possible

My approach to selecting investments in the market is grounded in an in-depth analysis that I don't often share publicly, mainly because I tend to be lazy about broadcasting my findings. I focus on a few key areas within sectors I'm bullish on after forming a well-considered view of those sectors. teapawt.net/JoshuaDeuk/statu… teapawt.net/JoshuaDeuk/status/1740… teapawt.net/JoshuaDeuk/statu… I've captured the majority of the move mentioned above, turning $100k into $4.5m in 6 months, achieving a 45x return without using 10x leverage. This wasn't about risking my entire stack in one week but about meticulously building a portfolio as if for my fund, adjusting sizing, and being more aggressive on individual projects based on their liquidity volume, narrative, and book size. This strategy means that even if you don't catch every single move, you'll still perform well, outperforming just holding BTC or ETH in the long term, as long as there's enough volatility in the alt market. For instance, I missed the AI moves after the Sora reveal but still managed to outperform many in the market by catching some, not all, of the wave. The AI sector was an easy choice due to the massive interest in the intersection of AI and crypto. $AR has secured a spot in my HODL portfolio. While I may not have capitalized as much on other opportunities, I believe the AI narrative will be relevant long-term. Hence, I’ll continue monitoring this sector closely to make the most of emerging opportunities. Similarly, there are many narratives and upcoming trends over the next few months or even beyond six months that guide my decisions. These narratives can be short-lived or extend over a longer period. For the long-term narratives, these selections become part of my HODL strategy. However, finding the 2-3 right projects in a sector requires extensive research beyond just price action or technical analysis. What you do is trade within these products you've picked, adjusting your portfolio as price develops or as perceptions change over time. I admit I'm no expert in technical analysis, which is why I rarely share setups or technical strategies. Many others are skilled in this area, focusing on setups, stop losses, and target points. People often ask me about my stop loss (SL) or take profit (TP) strategies. For me, it's more about intuition than precise pricing. A vivid example is the NFT marketplace reaching all-time high trading volumes amid celebrity purchases. When even my mother asked about NFTs after seeing a famous university professor discuss them on a 7pm TV show, I knew we were at a market peak before a three-year bear market ensued. Same with $TIA, but this is more of a short-term peak for now, though it hasn't changed yet. teapawt.net/JoshuaDeuk/statu… During bull markets, traditional metrics like market cap (MC) or fully diluted valuation (FDV) become less relevant as the market goes parabolic. Reflecting on the last cycle’s peak, we saw everything reaching valuations of $50B, $100B, $200B - FDV became a meme. As you've noticed, I take short positions more often than most. Depending on where we are in the market, high funding, or rampant hype, I try to aggressively hedge my long exposure with altcoins on my list, with narratives that won't hit for a while, or even within the same sector but with less promising tokens. By understanding different sector narratives, you can identify which are likely to perform best. This involves a technical analysis of market trends and how people react to certain prices over 1-2 months. It’s impossible to predict what will 5-10x in just a few days of market observation. So, when you feel bullish, you long these same assets. When you're bearish but unsure, hedge with some less promising coins so you don't miss out on the big moves. Always try to anticipate what people will think in the next few weeks or months, not just today or tomorrow. For now, the market seems straightforward: 1. AI 2. Memes 3. Potentially GameFi upcoming And of course, you mix some of the bigger caps in between to buffer your long-term holdings, like $SOL for the killer, for layer for real-world assets that funds are likely to buy into.
Predicting a ceiling for $TIA prolly 20$ is PICO HIGH for this Here's why: 1. TIA Staking Despite the buzz from YouTube streamers about TIA staking and farming, thanks to successful DYM and SAGA airdrops, there's more to consider. TIA stakers are getting 16-18% APR, and there's significant negative funding, indicating hedging by funds. 2. Airdrops: The additional airdrops incentivize more hedging who is holding $TIA 3. Staked amount As of Jan 15th, there's a massive 482M $TIA staked. Non-foundation staked 200M of this. At $16, that's a whopping 3.2B in value. Back to the rewards = 16~18% APR So, who's the buyer now? Small retail investors, who missed early staking, likely influenced by YouTube. Beyond that? It's uncertain. With market volatility shrinking and funds managing risk after BTC ETF news there doesn't seem to be a significant additional buyer here .... at least I'm not buying Tia here lol Conclusion $20 seems like the peak for $TIA during this mini bull run.
