The reason I'm interested in institution design is because the underlying story of our time is the failure of our inherited institutions to adapt adequately to the challenges we face.

Back in 2021 @mattwadd wrote the below blog post and @mengwong took an example from that post and wrote it in L4. I’m now sitting with Matthew while he learns L4 using that same example while Meng instructs from the front at #CLAWCON

This issue of the Loophole is a large file, and there were some formatting improvements I could make to the article, so I have posted a reformatted & extracted version of the article here - legislativedrafter.wordpress…
Earlier this year I wrote a love letter to the parliamentary counsels of the world; I’ve just posted a follow up giving context to what I’m proposing with regards to three existing standards. #AkomaNtoso #ELI and #USLM

I built a code/legislation thing and then wrote a love letter about it and if you're nerdy and into #Legislation #CivicTech #RulesAsCode then you might enjoy it. Not normally active here nowadays but this is for the old crew XD.

Big questions that Aotearoa NZ should be asking right now. Heavy impacts abroad show us what our own future can be we don't take preventive action.
Thanks for a great conversation last night with brilliant speakers @DrFrascatore &

When you finish a PhD in computer science, they take you to a special room and explain that you must never use recursion in real life. Its only purpose is to make programming hard for undergrads.

Absolutely. I don’t understand why there isn’t a team just dedicated to ventilation - communications, business and schools outreach, minimum standards policy ahead of winter.
The fact that there isn’t a cross-ministry group urgently looking at mitigations like this is appalling.
