If you’re wondering how hard it is to get a rape conviction, it took six women, all of whom testified against him, to get the jury to believe he raped only one of them. Now imagine how hard it is when a woman on her own is trying to get justice against her rapist.

SHE LOOKS HUMAN. EVEN HER REACTIONS ARE STARTING TO FEEL REAL. At a tech expo, a young woman approaches a humanoid robot and says, “I love your hair.” The robot smiles, touches its hair, and responds to her. People nearby stop to watch. Some pull out their phones. Others step closer to see how it reacts. But look beneath its face. Exposed wires, motors, and glowing electronic components reveal the machinery behind the human appearance. The interesting part is how quickly humanoid robots are moving beyond basic movement and industrial tasks. They're now being designed to look human, express emotions, and interact naturally with people. The technology still has a long way to go. But once robots combine realistic faces, natural movement, and convincing conversation, the potential market could be much bigger than people expect. Some companies may end up selling more than robots. They may be selling the feeling of interacting with another human.

£65 MILLION allocated to the Grooming Gangs Inquiry, yet where is the counselling, trauma-informed support Instead, survivors are bombarded with emails about procedures, anonymity codes and hearing dates 5 days before Xmas 2026

When will Sadiq Khan step in? And when will survivors stop being bombarded with inquiry emails about dates, itineraries and meetings, including five days before Christmas? Where is the counselling, trauma-informed care and psychological support? We are survivors, not statistics!

Apologies are not enough. Today, another eight men in Bradford, including a man who 'married' a 15-year-old girl in an Islamic wedding ceremony, have been found guilty of rape and sexual assault. Jury were told the so-called ceremony was attended by the victim's key social worker, despite care home staff fearing that she was being exploited. These men are nothing more than vile, worthless parasites who deserve no other place than hell. Their sentences must reflect the severity of their horrific crimes, the brutal impact they had on their victims and the stain they have brought on our community. Bradford Council’s continued defensiveness as more and more of these cases come to light is also not enough. The Council can continue to apologise for these failures, or they can turn their latest u-turn on grooming gangs into action - and do more to formally and publicly join our call for a grooming gangs inquiry across the Bradford District. In the words of Anna, who bravely came forward and has gone through so much to bring these men through the courts: "The women that have got justice over the last 10 or 15 years are just a snippet of the girls who were abused in Bradford and Keighley. "There are so many victims who have not been heard." It is vital in the interests of victims and survivors that we hold all institutions to account who have failed for far too long.
