I build things. Actuators , code, circuits, cloud, CAD - with AI doing the boring parts. If it can be prototyped, I’ve broken it twice and shipped it anyway.

We split open the common gears of similar actuator. Pathetic material and soft hardening. I never understood the point of cutting cost there. Its costs barely few cents more to the companies.

Imagine a world where you just mount a device on your brain and you can control the robots using it. It will create another field of employments.
Neuralink’s first product is called Telepathy. It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years. Read that sentence again.

Their supply chain too is quite close to china.

Just give me mac in gpd form Factor for god sake.

What kind of robots(different actuator ) have you tested on. Planetary, harmonic. Cycloidal? What kind of capabilities you expect from robots(hardware wise) to follow what model sends as instruction?

cleansed my timeline. I will talk about actuators and AI.

Even developing nations like vietnam has far better infrastructure and trash management than us. We have been scammed.

I partially agree. The AI models are increasingly moving closer to compensate for the issues in actuators. More companies would want to work with actuators makers.

The tons of robotic companies I spoke to just said they use what others are using 🥲. It pretty much is cliche. Except few like apptronik or boston dynamics who would want to make their own actuators.

Good news I guess? More off the shelf gears for similar projects on their website.

How's the weight compared to current generation of planetary geared actuators? I understand the impact resistance will be strength but are trade offs too far? Why isn't it common with robotic companies?

This is so cool! How does the cooling work? With all that fur over the actuators and frame - it looks like an interesting engineering problem.
