The Nvidia-backed AI cloud company carries roughly $50 billion in debt and lease obligations to fund its data-center buildout. The cost of insuring that debt against default has climbed to around 1,000 basis points, implying roughly a 60% chance of default within five years. $CRWV shares have fallen sharply this week as the broader semiconductor selloff accelerated concerns over AI infrastructure financed by borrowed money. Elon Musk replied "yikes" to the bond-yield spike. The AI boom is increasingly being funded with debt, and the credit market is starting to notice.
