On Friday, members of the ruling CPDM party in Nwa Subdivision in Donga Mantung celebrated President Biya’s 44 years in power without roads and electricity.
The road from Three Corners in Ndu through Rom, Mbem, and Nwa to Yang in neighbouring Nigeria is in a very deplorable state.
As one of the oldest subdivisions since 1963, Nwa does not have a single tarred road, electricity, a good hospital, or safe drinking water.
But the people have continued to vote for the CPDM and celebrate Paul Biya’s continued stay in power.

The obsession of an incompetent government with numbers and statistics is as old as time itself.
Orwell portrayed it so beautiful in his novel 1984.
In 2026, Nigerians are living in it.
