Due to recent budget cuts, we are no longer able to provide our peer counselling service. It's been such a privilege to be of service to the community in this way, and we're heartbroken that we can't continue to offer it.

The conflation of sex work and human trafficking leads to the implementation of inappropriate responses that fails in realising rights, and can contribute to violence and oppression. #WeAreNotProstituted #DecrimSexWork
A tile that shows bright illustrations of people protesting at the bottom and the NSWP logo in the top right corner. It says that 'Many international organisations have opposed the conflation of sex work and trafficking, including the Global Commision on HIV and the Law and Amnesty International'. It gives some findings, such as '[it] diverts resources... increases sex workers' vulnerability to harm... [and] undermines efforts to engage with sex workers regarding HIV and STIs'

IWD is an event that started on June 2nd in 1975, when over 100 sex workers began an 8-day occupation at a church in Lyon, demanding the end of fines, stigma, & police harassment. It has since become a day of protest, celebration, & solidarity for sex workers all over the globe.
