Mixed feelings but today was my last day at work. It was a weird 5 year journey, from Angular to C# to Kotlin. My interests have changed over the years but I keep loving the trade If you're looking to hire someone familiar with Ai tools, the web and dotnet platforms let me know!

Google Cloud “deleting” $135 billions from a retirement fund? Sounds to me like someone has been watching Superman III.

You know what the biggest problem with pushing all-things-AI is? Wrong direction. I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes.

Yes, it is crazy althoughthe power is not clear with such a simple example, bind can call chatgtp, hence in can be a sort of a copilot as a Computation Expression

It's amazing what @htmx_org allows you to do with simple Server Side Rendering. This was built with: - ASP .NET - HTMX I've built dozens web apps in the past like this with React + .NET APIs. The difference in complexity is staggering considering the outcome in user experience is the same.

I'm fed up with mock testing. I've reluctantly let it slide when my coworkers use it because of prior usage but I just can't anymore. I'm going to reject any PRs that use mocks from now on. Perhaps heavy-handed but I don't care. I always end up having to deal with it in the end.

I’ve been thinking about this and it’s a quietly radicalizing realization that rapacious profit seeking has hollowed out so much of what’s fun and community enhancing in our society. So many things just stopped existing because they don’t return 300% to awful people.
I'm 38 years old and I think this is the first time in my internet-using life that there's just, like, nothing fun to do online anymore. I open a web browser and just sit there with nowhere to go.
