This afternoon Ss participated in a STEM challenge. We read “Pete the Cat and the Five Little Pumpkins”. Ss were tasked with creating a structure that could hold up 5 miniature pumpkins. The Ss had such a blast! @VM_Elementary #STREAM #teamwork
Today we read “I Need My Monster” by Amanda Noll. Then Ss created their own monsters using play dough, googly eyes, beads, and pipe cleaners. They were so creative! @VM_Elementary #STEAM
Students learned about why leaves change color. They went on a leaf hunt at home. Ss brought their leaves to school where we sorted them by color, type, shape, and size. We graphed our results. Then, we read “The Leaf Man” and made our own leaf pictures! 🍁🍃🍂@VM_Elementary
Students loved sounding out words on their pop its and then writing them. @VM_Elementary
For our geometry chapter, students practiced making 2D shapes given the name and/ or a constraint such as…. Make a quadrilateral with more than 4 popsicle sticks. #problemsolvers @VM_Elementary
