The cheapest way to manage usage rights is to think about them before the session, not after the invoice. State your channels, territory, and expected duration in the brief. If you're not certain how far the content might travel, say that too. outspokenvoices.com/blog/voi… #VoiceActors

Get the rights wrong & you'll either overpay for permissions you never needed, or find yourself using a voice you don't legally have permission to use, which is the kind of discovery that tends to surface during a legal review rather than a creative one. outspokenvoices.com/blog/voi…

NEWER VOICE ACTORS! Ever felt like giving up on voice acting after not getting chosen for a role countless times? It took me 60 auditions before I got my first role. Keep that in mind and keep auditioning. You can persevere. YOU CAN DO IT!

2021 ➡️ 2026 I started in a closet that had no ventilation and the doors were blocked by moving blankets (had to stop a session once because I almost passed out 🤪) Then I saved up and bought a 4x6 double walled booth that has served me well 🥰

What does YOUR VO booth look like? What did it look like when you started? What does it look like now? I started in my closet with carpet nailed into the walls. After years of hard work, and a lot of saved pennies, I'm in a Whisperroom booth. Now your turn!

🎙️ See 200 auditions already submitted? Audition anyway. The only guaranteed way to miss an opportunity… is not to go for it. So if the brief feels right, trust your instinct. Show up. Submit. Stay in the game. You never know who’s listening. 👌 #VoiceActors #Casting #Voices

“We’re looking for something natural.” It sounds straightforward, but it’s one of the least precise directions in the business. One producer’s “natural voice-over” is another producer’s “a bit flat.” outspokenvoices.com/blog/wha… #OutSpokenVoices #VoiceOver #Casting #VoiceActors
