I bought three #3dfx V3 3500 cards on eBay. One “tested, working, mint” and two “untested, as-is”. Guess which one is broken 😂 Amazingly, the two as-is cards work perfectly. I figured I’d have to repair one or both.. not the “working” one 🔨

I’m very curious if adding SMD caps to the unpopulated pads at the rear of a V3 would improve power delivery/overclocking 🤔 Anyone ever seen this done or could suggest appropriate value range to try here? I’m coming up empty in my searches ⚡️

Picked up a MAG DX700T CRT monitor this weekend for a great price. It’s a 17 inch model with a Sony Trinitron tube. Seems to have some minor geometry issues and an overly bright picture. Anyone know if there are any common issues with these? Caps perhaps?
