The ocean is one of my favorite places. With #teamseas making progress, I thought I’d do a thread one my latest passion project of recycling plastic to help supplement what they’re doing.
Thread below, and enjoy the ocean footage captured by my friend.

Shipped off this mallet today. A long story for this one.
1st life maple tree most likely grown in Canada.
1st life cherry tree grown on easy coast
2nd life Maple became a skateboard used in California.
2nd life cherry was used as a pallet. Some nail scars still there.
I melt all these plastics together in a Dutch oven. Squeezing and twisting the plastics together to remove air from the mixture, the plastic becomes a solid block of recycled HDPE.
I've been making these recycled plastic mallets and decided to open up a hobby store to see if anyone will try these out.
The HDPE is 2nd life
The wood handle is 3rs life: 1st as a tree, 2nd as wood trim, and now as a handle.

I enjoy these types of threads.

I think I need to make more jigs...
till then, this is my current ineffecient process for how I make these #recycledplastic mallets.
Greatest response to a question I ever got.
I can see the mission of your studio in the pixels.
However, I do enjoy reading those words.

Today it is automatic controller for a warmer in the house I built for the stray cats from salvaged materials.

This might be odd but I like to have conversations with myself with different colored pencils.
Like a way to play devils advocate with my own thoughts.
Am I alone on this?
