Tale as old as time - The University of West Alabama varsity Fishing program remains on Probation.
Some BAD NCAA news from the past week (updated)…
- University of Alabama Football player Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was suspended for yesterday's game due to an undisclosed violation of team rules.
- North Carolina State University fired Head Football Coach Dave Doerenay yesterday.
- Wake Forest Head Baseball Coach Tom Walter has been placed on leave from the program for undisclosed reasons.
- University of Utah Football player Jamal Wallace was suspended following his reported arrest for sexual assault, recording it, and distributing the images.
- University of Mississippi was placed on 2-years NCAA Probation for Tampering violations within its Basketball program (no, not Football).
Ole Miss was also cited for not complying with certain penalties from a previous violations case.
- Auburn University Football player Xavier Atkins was kicked off the team for undisclosed reasons.
- Auburn and Alabama fought during their chippy Thursday exhibition Basketball game.
- Former professional basketball player RJ Luis was not cleared by the Southeastern Conference to play for Will Wade at LSU.
- University of Maryland Head Football Coach Mike Locksley was fired on Wednesday.
‐ University of Oregon Football player Evan Stewart was arrested for DUI and driving on a suspended license. Prosecutors haven't filed the DUI charges yet, as of Friday's reports.
- Arkansas State University Football player Hunter Summers was reportedly arrested on suspicion of third-degree domestic battering.
- Columbia University Women's Basketball Head Coach Megan Griffith was suspended for 3 games for undisclosed violations but is permitted to coach practices.
- Duke University Football player Kimari Robinson faced backlash for pushing a Trainer's hand away when she tried to get him to make space for her to treat an injured player during last week's game.
- We're actually going to have a massive 24-team College Football Playoff despite fan pushback
- The Southeastern Conference fined the University of Tennessee $500,000 for fans storming the field following last week's win over Alabama.
- University of Mississippi Football player AJ Maddox was reportedly arrested on domestic violence charges.
- The University of Texas fan who was shown last week flipping off Florida players has been banned from Texas home Football games.
- The Northeast Conference is losing relative newcomer Le Moyne College to the Metro Conference.
- Villanova University again attempted to destroy the greatest tradition in city College Basketball by pulling out of the 70-year-old Philadelphia Big 5.
- The NCAA suffered a net loss of 7 Olympic sports programs over the past 4 months: 72 programs added; 79 programs eliminated, moved to the NAIA, or lost due to school closure
- A trial date has been set for a former University at Albany Basketball player who alleges the current Head Coach assaulted him in a locker room incident several years ago.
- This week CBS Sports posted about the supposed millions it takes to ‘build' a winning College Basketball team. Of course none of those figures were verified, but we'll continue to mindlessly believe the inflated numbers.
‐ The handful of Protect College Sports Act opponents have unfortunately toned down their unhinged rantings since the bill steamrolled through the Senate. Hopefully as midterm elections approach, those collective bargaining grifter-fantasists will greatly up their game and provide even more entertainment for those of us residing in reality.
- The University of West Alabama varsity Fishing program remains on Probation.
Good morning.

Attendance this. Attendance that. This is insane for a family of four. You can’t blame folks for not packing out every game.
