I mean, I get most if not all of my watch straps from @watchesofespion so why not do the same for my hats?

In honor of the new Mosebey 2.0 from Watches of Espionage (@watchesofespion) This is the original Mosebey blade sitting with the same Breitling Aerospace I wore every day in Africa. The watch that went through the bush, the shady charter flights, and more nights that never made any official log. Bill “Bwana” Mosebey earned that nickname the hard way. Career CIA Africa Division. Chief of Station in four countries. Eventually ran the whole Africa Division. The guy the other side called the most dangerous American on the continent. When Bwana showed up, it usually meant the country had just become a priority. The story that sticks with me is 1985. After the coup that took down Nimeiri, four Mossad officers working under European business covers in Khartoum got blown. Sudanese intelligence and Libyan gunmen were hunting them. No embassy. No protection. Capture meant they weren’t coming home. They made it to CIA Station Chief Milt Bearden’s door. For almost a month the station moved them from safe house to safe house while the net tightened. Bearden finally sent the cable: time was up, get them out. In Nairobi, Station Chief Bill Mosebey took the call past midnight. Gin already poured. Mossad guy waiting in the living room. His call was pure Bwana, don’t tell Special Branch, don’t brief Kanyotu, don’t tell the Kenyan government. Better to act than ask. Create the deniability. They used a U.S. Air Force C-141 under routine embassy supply cover. Four oxygen-fitted cargo containers. The men were stripped naked so they’d fit and so the heat wouldn’t kill them on the sealed ride across Khartoum. Loaded while a Sudanese helicopter hovered nearby. Tower screaming they weren’t cleared. The pilot just rolled and took off for Nairobi. At JKIA the logistics officer everyone already knew for military airlift met the jet like it was another supply run. Got them into clothes, collected the money belts (over a million in cash), walked the alias passports through immigration. No Special Branch. Straight to the Hilton. That night at Carnivore four bottles of champagne showed up from a table across the room. Silent toast. Operation already in the books as one of the clean ones. Kenya’s airport, Kenya’s stamps, Kenya’s hotels and officially Kenya knew nothing. That’s the kind of story that lives at the crossroads of human intelligence and gray airlift. The kind most people never hear. Respect to Watches of Espionage for putting his name on a blade. This one stays close. Tag a tail tracker who needs to hear it. #CovertAviation #GrayAirlift #Mosebey #WatchesOfEspionage #C141 #ColdWarAfrica #aircrafthistoryjunky

1/2 The Russian Ministry of Defense published a video (t.me/mod_russia/27845) with Sergei Shoigu to show that he's alive and well after Prigozhin's mutiny attempt. The MoD doesn't claim when exactly it was filmed, but for some reason, they blurred Nikiforov's watch in it.
