Iran is going to take this war to its existential end and the US is going to frame it as Iran waging war against us because Americans have the memory of goldfish and will have moved on to the next news cycle while Iran is still fighting.

The outrage created by making a girls school the first strike will ensure this outcome. Most Americans have no idea that even happened.

“Why are they still attacking us? We’re over it now. Clearly we were right to attack them.”

The made-up sexual violence they always trot out about the Middle East are looking especially suspect given the Epstein files

The difference between DPRK and the IR is that DPRK has a firm understanding of Marxist principles and uses its own specialized theory of Juche to guide its decisions. The IR made the fatal mistake of wavering and capitulating and now will die of a thousand cuts while NK prospers
The nuclear program is obviously an extremely significant factor, but you have to grasp the underlying ideological and strategic roots of this decision to appreciate if for what it is. The DPRK is not an argument for global nuclear armament but for communist revolution everywhere

I’m reading Ten Days That Shook The World and this would make such a good movie, but I would never trust Hollywood to tell it fairly.

The biggest personal impact of the Epstein Files for me is that I’ve had to really confront my strong Marxist belief that we’re up against a SYSTEM, and not just a smoke filled room of guys.
There's like 100 people causing literally all the problems.

I think I’m to the left of most of the organization, but DSA needs to split entirely from the democrats and run their own candidates. They’re the biggest left organization and have some mainstream buy-in. It’s the only electoral path forward.

Someone should put this on a work camp meme
Remember when conservatives were SURE that Democrats would riot if Trump won? We’re not the same.

People aren’t going to want to hear it - but the Chapo Traphouse dirtbag left was how to keep young men out of right-wing politics. Problem for the establishment was that their beliefs are ACTUAL left politics, not corporatized and sanitized “left-wing” capitalism.

Tim Walz’s instincts were correct in calling them all weird. JD Vance is a fucking weirdo. You’d want to throw yourself out of your dorm window if he was your roommate. It needs to be combined with a legitimate left economic alternative though.

Public education has very purposely been decimated over the last decades. It leaves us with the broad decision making abilities that we’re looking at here. Combined with overwhelming propaganda and the obscuring of information, Americans are barely aware of actual politics.

It’s fascinating to live through a real-time political shift where the democrats have allowed the neoconservative fox into the neoliberal hen house, leaving the republican party or whatever replaces it to pursue whatever is still to the right of American mainstream politics.

This honestly almost hurts more than the Cheney endorsement.
BREAKING: The Economist just announced they are endorsing Kamala Harris. This is huge.

Now that artists are sampling songs that I danced to in college, they all sound like silly little novelty songs. Is this how older people have always heard hip hop?

What’s something that’s fascist-coded in a way you can’t explain, and not at all political?
