My son’s first attempts were slop bowls. And they were great.
And I knew he could go to college and feed himself.
Now he puts effort into making food good looking because he thinks it’s more fun to eat that way.

i know too many people who don't cook at all bc they're not capable of making something that looks good enough for instagram. there is nothing wrong with slapping some bullshit on a plate and feeding yourself. technique doesn't matter when you're hungry
Awesome!!!

I've got a candidate in Houston that is seeking a GM role- prior Army.
Truly impressive, driven young man.
He has extensive experience in waste management and logistics, and his career goal in the next 5 years is to be a GM. F
rankly, he's definitely ready for it right now.
Happy to make an introduction. This dude deserves the opportunity he seeks.
When I have clients that aren’t sure, I ask them to live on their budget for 6 months.
They bank or accelerate mortgage payments.
If they like it, they know they’re close and can go.
If not…
46% of retirees stopped working earlier than they planned.
That's EBRI's 2026 Retirement Confidence Survey. And 35% of those early retirees said it was because of changes at their company.
So the retirement date on your spreadsheet? Somebody else might pick it.
Here's the test I'd run this week. Pretend work ends next year:
→ What do you spend in a month?
→ Which account do you pull from first?
→ What's the tax bill on that withdrawal?
→ What would you cut, and what would you never cut?
If you can't answer the second and third, that's the plan to build. Not a bigger number.
Who was it that said the Internet wasn’t going to be as useful as the fax?
Verizon's CEO said today that SpaceX will need at least 4-6 years and $300B-$500B to fully build out its @Starlink Mobile U.S. carrier network:
"Their service just can't compete with a terrestrial network. In suburban and urban areas, where 98% of our revenues are, we're somewhere between 100x–1,000x more efficient than they are. We know exactly what they're going to do. We know who they're talking to on towers. There's no magic wand. There's no secret sauce. There's no shortcut.
They're going to look at 65,000–80,000 macro sites. They're going to need backhaul, RAN, and a tremendous amount of spectrum. It's going to take a minimum of four to six years to fully build that out. It's going to cost hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars, I assume somewhere between $300 billion and $500 billion.
Then they need to build retail, customer service, back office systems, et cetera. All of that gets them basically the same network and same capabilities and same cost structure as what we have today. Then sometime over the next four to six years, they have the possibility of becoming the sixth, not the fourth, the sixth competitor in the market.
You can be sure over these next three to five years or six years, we are not going to be standing still. Four to five years from now, we will be two to three generations better than where we are today. We will have high-speed broadband gig-plus coverage across the country with our millimeter wave. We are ahead of most people and already experimenting with what 6G applications will look like."

How many times does this have to happen before people realize this idea wasn’t had today?

I’m considering paying $100K for my own G-500/G-600 type rating.
Plan A has failed. I’m not ashamed to say so.
I’ve applied for several postings but I guess my G-200 experience isn’t enough.
I’m also looking for donations or anyone willing to help me pay for it or partner with me on the training cost, in trade as an available contract pilot😅🙏🏻🤩.
I know this is a long shot but I’m told it never hurts to ask😎
Hey @Strava I need you to make the app turn off the second I get in my car.
This would be so cool
