In the spirit of preserving our coastal ecosystems, we planted 6,000 mangrove seedlings over the weekend in Takaungu, Kilifi.
Supported by LEAF Charity, this will be a monthly activity aimed at restoring our coastal ecosystems, protecting coastlines, supporting marine life and absorbing carbon, all crucial steps in combating climate change.
Our mangrove saplings are doing well! These little carbon sequestering warriors were planted early this year and last year! Mangroves store close to 10 times more carbon than terrestrial forests.
We are so excited for the big day tomorrow! Thank you to @KilifiTriathlon for supporting us through the triathlon. Good luck to all the athletes! #KGT2024 #wearetheleaf #theleafcharity
10 days to go! Count down is on for everyone participating in the @KilifiTriathlon !!! This year donations will be going to The LEAF and we can鈥檛 be more grateful for this partnership! #kilifi #kilifitriathlon #wearetheleaf #theleafcharity
Offset your carbon emissions with a donation to the LEAF! Your donations go towards putting trees in the ground. You donate, we plant - the trees do the rest! #carbon #carbonfootprint #wearetheleaf #theafcharity
