A stock market is closed over the weekend, and pre-IPO companies don’t have tickers. However, with Injective you can gain price exposure to these assets at any time! This is known as RWA Perpetuals. A perpetual contract enables you to gain price exposure to an asset (e.g. stocks, FX pairs, gold, private companies) without actually owning the underlying asset. This means you can gain price movements with no brokerage and outside of market hours. The numbers are impressive. Over $1.1 billion in volume this year. More than $230 million has been traded in the last month alone in equity, FX, commodities, indices and pre-IPO markets. That is roughly 1/5th of the entire years volume in a matter of months, showing this is gaining momentum. Traders are using this for the same reasons as any market. Hedging, speculation or just to gain exposure to an asset that may not be easy to otherwise get hold of. injective-protocol:native

Who monitors who owns a share of a company on the blockchain? @injective Institutional Services, an affiliated entity of the Injective ecosystem, has become an SEC registered transfer agent, and becomes the first layer 1 protocol to ever secure such a designation A transfer agent is a company’s official record keeper, when you buy a stock, some entity is updating the registry of who owns what, paying out dividends, and ensuring that issuance terms were met. These services have long been provided by banks and trust companies.....now there’s a registered transfer agent in the Injective ecosystem who can provide such services to onchain assets. One nuance: the registration belongs to the affiliated entity, and not the decentralized protocol itself. Additionally, this doesn’t mean all tokens on Injective are now securities......it simply means there’s an option for regulated record-keeping for assets which meet regulatory criteria. The surrounding infrastructure has been built out in recent months: → Markets for digital asset treasuries, equities, and pre-IPO exposure (SpaceX, OpenAI) have launched. Many pre-IPO products take the form of perpetual futures, which provide exposure to price movements, but not equity → Trade receivables from POSCO International and LG CNS are being trialed on Injective. Typically, paperwork for trade between countries can take weeks to clear, but on Injective, issuance, transfers, and settlement take place onchain → The Meridian upgrade codified regulated token standards into Injective EVM....tokens can now self-certify as meeting certain regulatory criteria → Gulf Labs, an entity within Thailand’s $27B GULF Group, has launched a validator, and will be working with Thai banks and issuers → Over $1B in mortgage records are tokenized, and Pineapple Financial plans to bring over $10B Consider this the complete checklist of what institutional investors examine before allocating capital to an onchain asset: a regulatory license, real-world counterparties, assets, and infrastructure enforcing protocol-level rules.
