The Karen Council at BioWare rejected my proposal for a Mass Effect MMO.
Now they're no longer a studio, and unfortunately for them, I still have the power of vibes.
So here's Max Effect. The Citadel as a multiplayer hub, PvEvP extraction missions, an open zone with quests and loot, plus 6v6 payload and 12-player FFA.
Proposal approved.
BioWare is gone. They had a Mass Effect on our young adult lives. Then they marched to a different Anthem, and not even the Knights of the Old Republic could save them.
But not all hope is lost. A new Age is upon us, one where the vibe coders will bring the Dragon back to its Origins.
RIP BioWare. We'll carry the torch from here.
So here I am, one solo vibe dev building Dragon Age Online, an MMO take on one of the RPG GOATs that lets you slay Darkspawn with the bros.
It's still early and rough, but the party doesn't have to end here.
