Finally, got to release a new (but long-awaited) @GitHub Action for making code checkouts in CI jobs out of the pre-built source distributions rather than Git clones. This will help with testing what the downstreams/users get.

Just noticed the ChatGPT desktop app (previously named Codex) bundles a full copy of the LibreOffice open source office suite, tucked away in a hidden folder in the ~/.cache directory
ALT I was poking around in my ~/.cache/ folder using OmniDiskSweeper when I spotted something interesting. Apart from being a day of celebration of the Ukraine State Flag Day, today is also a day to remember a shameful date in European history.
On August 23, 1939, Nazi Germany and Stalinโs regime in Moscow signed the MolotovโRibbentrop Pact. Behind the faรงade of โnon-aggressionโ lay secret protocols dividing Europe into spheres of influence โ with sovereign nations treated as mere objects on a map.
Days later, Hitler invaded Poland from the West. On September 17, Stalin invaded from the East. And on September 22, German and Soviet troops held a joint military parade in Brest to celebrate the conquest of Poland. The footage is attached.
Today, Russians proudly proclaim: โะะพะถะตะผ ะฟะพะฒัะพัะธััโ โ โWe can do it again.โ
The rhetoric, the imperial ambitions, the denial of other nationsโ right to exist, the attempt to redraw borders by force - the historical parallels are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
The question is not whether Russia can repeat 1939.
The question is whether the rest of Europe will allow it to.
