anime fans will avoid starting an anime for months because they’re “not in the mood” and then binge the entire thing in one night
some anime don’t hit you until it’s late, everything’s quiet, and you finally have time to think about what you watched.
sometimes you don’t realize how attached you got to an anime until you catch yourself thinking about it days later.
finishing an anime is one thing; realizing you’ll never experience that first episode, first plot twist, or first opening again is a different kind of pain.
anime hot take:
some anime fans will demand originality, then call an anime trash the second it does something they’ve never seen before. y’all want something new until it stops feeling familiar.
anime fans will watch 2 episodes of a new anime, drop it, then spend 6 months telling everyone they need to give it a chance
rewatching an anime years later and realizing you relate to a completely different character now is a different kind of pain.
anime will make you miss a life you never lived, in places you’ve never been, with people you’ve never met.
some anime don’t even need a rewatch to make you emotional; one scene, one soundtrack, one familiar voice and suddenly you remember exactly how it felt to watch it for the first time.
anime hot take:
some of y’all don’t want morally complex characters; you want characters who do terrible things to get a pass because they’re attractive, powerful, or entertaining. then you call the story biased when another character gets judged by the same standard.
anime fans will say they want something new, then spend 40 minutes comparing every anime they could watch to the one that ruined their standards
it’s actually crazy how an anime can make you care about a fictional world so much that seeing it end feels like being told you can never visit again.
some anime don’t even need a rewatch; one scene, one song, one memory and suddenly you’re right back in that world again.
