Following the Princes Street fire, highly complex remedial work continues.
This includes securing the front façade, with pieces of stonework being removed individually by hand due to the building's delicate condition.
We appreciate your patience during this time.

I may have a job for an individual who has completed a Peatland Action/SRUC Peatland restoration course.
This is a short term paid role, designing a small restoration in SW Scotland.

Privacy campaigners have filed a legal complaint with the UK’s Information Commissioner, arguing that retail giant Asda’s use of live facial recognition cameras in its supermarkets is “unlawful” and infringing the data rights of shoppers.

One of the big mistakes the environmentalist movement has made is framing every problem as a global problem. Many environmental issues are actually quite local (e.g., pollution, land use), and thus can be solved in easier ways than trying to get all countries to work together.

CIOs I speak with say that gen AI tools are just pouring over the gunwales, from vendors adding it to their tools to rampant shadow/departmental AI.
So far, there have been fewer issues than expected, but I suspect governance problems will proliferate over time.
