UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting once called for an arms embargo on Saudi Arabia. Now he’s helping its air force bomb Yemen. Britain is expanding its aerial refuelling of Saudi fighter jets to include bombing raids on Yemen, despite a major spike in civilians being killed in these airstrikes. Streeting initially said the UK would only provide air-to-air refuelling for Saudi jets patrolling the kingdom’s skies to ward off drone and missile attacks on airports and oil infrastructure by Yemen’s Houthi movement. He is now letting British fighter jets join those patrols, as well as providing refuelling for Saudi airstrikes on ā€˜Houthi military targets in Yemen’. Declassified also understands that the oil-rich kingdom will not be required to pay Britain’s military for its support. Read the full story here: declassifieduk.org/uk-boosts…

NATO is part of an infrastructure of transnational political and military control that gives Washington tremendous power over domestic politics. Some of that is overt. For example, when Joe Biden outlined the conditions for Poland’s accession to NATO in 1997, he called on us to deepen the neoliberal reforms that had already sold much of our industry off to Western capital. ā€œBusinesses like banks, the energy sector, the state airline, the state copper producer, and the telecommunications monopoly will have to be privatized,ā€ he said. Some of it is a structural consequence of the dependence that NATO membership creates. Questions of war and peace are removed from the purview of democratic decision making and shifted to a transnational structure that, as successive NATO leaders have admitted, is answerable primarily to Washington. NATO members are required to buy ā€œcompatibleā€ weapons systems, which means that NATO accession requires funnelling a significant part of the national budget towards the US military-industrial complex. NATO funds think tanks and academic institutions to shift consensus on issues central to its interests. All of this has seismic downstream effects on the entire political system. Notice how readily the new cohort of Finland’s leaders has given up the country’s neutrality, for example by threatening to veto the EU-China trade agreement. This is one of many examples of how NATO transforms the political system of a country in ways that constrain the capacity for sovereign action by the bloc as a whole. Europe does not benefit from worsening relations with China, but the US does. NATO is ultimately the armed wing of global capitalism, and its center of gravity is in the US. I am not suggesting that giving up Finland’s forests was a condition of joining NATO, but that surrendering a part of your sovereignty to NATO carries consequences.

Watch this. Lubna Speitan, author of the Greens4Palestine motion ā€œZionism is racismā€, spells out the central obscenity of our age – the grotesque inversion whereby the victims of ethnic cleansing, Apartheid and genocide must constantly fend off accusations from their tormentors that it is they who are the racists. ā€œWe as Palestinians are being silenced and gaslit and vilified [as we] witness the annihilation, the cold-blooded murder of our families, of our people… our children burnt with phosphorus, having to endure amputations with no anaesthetic, having their limbs torn and shredded, their bodies burnt by phosphorus, being starved to death … And to have to sit here … and try to bury my feelings so I can eloquently and diplomatically shield my anger, my rage, my anguish that every Palestinian is feeling, is an insult.ā€ /1

carrick has achieved what gerrard attempted and failed at villa - diverting blame for his own lack of tactical nous onto a perceived lack of effort by players by harking back to his own personal effort under much more capable managers
One of the most powerful videos I’ve ever seen as a United supporter. The shift in atmosphere as soon as Carrick goes down the tunnel is exactly what the players need to hear. šŸ‘

We should be seriously reassessing our views of the quality and limits of British democracy in the twentieth century given what we now know about the extent of state surveillance of the left and the labour movement.

NYT interviews a grand total of four (4) Palestinians, and cites zero polls, to spread liberal zionist propaganda that the Israeli elections matter, in any significant way, to Palestinians (they don’t). Israeli media, once again, is far more honest

This is absolutely insane. The UK seems to have been involved in the kidnapping of Maduro - and the story spiked by an MOD D-Notice. The kidnapping was the most brazen act of criminality, and UK involvement would almost certainly have been given with Starmer's sign-off. A wretched, wreck of a PM. An unforgivable assault on international law.
🚨 A UK defence editor had information that UK Special Forces operating in Central America were involved in the US kidnapping of Venezuelan president NicolÔs Maduro in Jan 2026 Article was never published after UK military's 'D-Notice' censorship body told the editor to spike it

the uk establishment has crossed a red line separating itself from the public - support for both the narratives and crimes of ethno-nationalism - in ways that are too obvious to cover over and so must now seek to establish an entirely false reality just to remain coherent
BREAKING: A landmark government report is set to reveal the vast scale of antisemitism in English schools and colleges, Sky News can exclusively reveal. The report, written by former schools inspector Sir David Bell, will on Wednesday set out 27 recommendations to create change.

Roger Scruton recalls the exact moment he became a conservative during the 1968 Paris riots: ā€œWhen I looked down the street and saw all these rowdy students throwing stones at policemen, I just said to myself, ā€˜Whatever they believe, I believe the opposite.ā€™ā€
