I’m at The Bell in Epping, I’ve never seen anything like it, metal fences keeping people in designated areas, and even the fields are fenced behind the camera.
Huge Police operation 🚔
Top pic is Ivy cottage on the corner of Kelvin Grove & South St in 2004. Next to it is 42 Kelvin, a house many people we know of tried to buy & repair. Pic below is the same houses in 2025, following the @PlaceFirstLtd award-winning Welsh Street regeneration. Finish the job pls!!

The failure of our planning system for rivers, in one photo.
The River Roding through Ilford is in the worst state of anywhere on the river: canalised in concrete, covered in rubbish, polluted with sewage & road runoff & forgotten about. So when a developer was given permission to build flats worth 10’s of millions of pounds right next to it, did @RedbridgeLive ask them to do anything at all to help restore the river? Nope, they just let them build the flats & leave the river to die quietly beside them.
The crucial thing they should have asked for here is for the concrete river edge to be set back & naturalised. Had the voice & interests of the River Roding been represented in the planning process, this naturalisation could have been done whilst providing the same amount of housing & would have even made the development more attractive by actually letting people see the river. It is completely possible to protect & restore nature & build more homes, but we need a more imaginative process than whatever allowed this development to be built.

This image will go down in Twitter folklore as one of the most memorable.
But it still needs a killer caption.
Do your worst.?

Note that the living room windows and front door of this elderly widower's home are already boarded up, and his garden wall is smashed down. Imagine the sustained campaign of torment and prolonged misery he went through before they finally burned him alive in his home. Appalling.
Here's Nathan Otitodilchukwu and two friends throwing a firework through Robert Price's window in Dagenham, east London. Mr Price died in the fire they caused. courtnewsuk.co.uk/jail-for-t…

RFK Jr. just forced the food industry to confront its darkest secret.
They officially banned food dyes, chemicals that have been poisoning Americans for decades.
Here’s what’s changing, what’s been kept from you until now, and how it could impact every meal you eat:
