ALT We celebrate Juneteenth, the fortitude, innovation and joy of Black people who have fought to claim their liberty in the face of unimaginable calamity in the United States of America. We proclaim this day is as foundational to American history as any other commemorated as a national holiday. We demand the recognition of Black American agency and ingenuity - political and creative. We welcome ALL Black people with special attention to Black queer and trans persons. Together we will commemorate life, joy, and the long history of Black music and activism on the streets of Harlem! SAFETY FIRST: WEAR A MASK ALL ARE WELCOME WEAR WHITE with a touch of RED JOIN US IN JOY! #wearetheblacksmiths #juneteenthjubileeNYC #wakeupcapeon
