CONGRESS | #EADV2026 | PRESENTATION Victoria Werth, @Penn, presented findings from a randomized, placebo-controlled, phase II trial (NCT05591222) evaluating the efficacy and safety of daxdilimab in patients with moderate-to-severe DLE (N = 72). The primary endpoint was met, with both doses of daxdilimab significantly reducing CLASI-A scores from baseline to Week 24 compared with placebo (LS mean difference: −6.0 [90% CI, −8.7 to −3.2; p = 0.0005] for the low dose and −5.7 [90% CI, −8.5 to −2.9; p = 0.0012] for the high dose). Responses were evident as early as Week 4. Daxdilimab was well tolerated, with no cases of zoster reported. Follow our live feed for more updates: lupushub.com/medical-informa… Intended for HCPs. CONGRESS | #EADV2026 | POSTER Victoria Werth, @werthlab, @Penn, presented pooled safety data from the phase II WILLOW trial evaluating enpatoran vs PBO in patients with lupus with cutaneous manifestations, irrespective of systemic disease activity. Over 24 weeks, rates of TEAEs were 64.2% with enpatoran 25 mg (n=53), 57.8% with 50 mg (n=64) and 68.8% with 100 mg (n=80) vs 54.4% with placebo (n=68). Discontinuations due to TEAEs were low (1.9–5.0% with enpatoran vs 4.4% with placebo), and no TEAEs led to death. No new safety concerns were identified. Presented at #AAD2026: In the VALOR trial of brepocitinib in adults with dermatomyositis, the 30-mg dose (but not the 15-mg dose) led to greater improvement on a composite myositis index at 52 weeks than placebo. Serious infections were more frequent with the 30-mg dose. Full trial results: nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NE… @AADmember

Noted dermatologist Victoria Werth speaks to @TheLupusForum about the importance of the U.S. FDA accepting CLASI as a tool to measure the effectiveness of potential treatments for cutaneous lupus – a debilitating type of lupus that targets the skin for which there are no specific treatments. Dr. Werth credits this acceptance to the work of the public-private partnership — the Lupus Accelerating Breakthroughs Consortium — convened by the LRA with the FDA to advance development of new treatments for lupus.
