i love this era of software where we reverse engineer everything with agents to get to ground truth on how our data is being used facebook isn’t listening to us - everything else is - and sells the data to them.
WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners. Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads. Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was. Got a root shell. then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems. This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.

everyone is talking about @AnthropicAI‘s retention problem. unless you’ve spent hours on end in Arathi basin, or traveled across Tarren Mill on a PvP server you don’t understand.

thank you Ryan
PSA for Claude Code users: 1. Claude Code bundles its own Bun runtime, independent of your system's Node.js installation. 2. I confirmed that Claude Code 2.1.296 includes Bun 1.4.3, which contains the newly disclosed Brotli RCE vulnerability. 3. Note that while updating your system's Node.js is important, that won't fix the Bun runtime embedded in Claude Code. 4. To check your claude code version run "claude --version". It should be at least 2.1.308. 5. To patch the vulnerability, run "claude update".

Argon has this amazing natural understanding of the world. It can do so many things from first principles. Here's a pelican riding a bike, using fourier epicycles. Video made by Argon. Time-synced Lyria 3.5 music prompted by Argon.

i’m not sure exactly what it is, but after seeing the “upping my p-doom” video and now this on my feed.. i’m feeling a certain steepness in that creators/creatives are going to overwhelm the consumer market so much + in parallel with algorithmic accuracy of one’s interests that most people will be entirely consumed with content for +90% of their days. i’m talking, video games that contain rich character development and landscapes (WoW/Everquest) / infinite feeds of novel attractive work (Cosmos), niche interests that only the obsessed can scrutinize still passing the quality bar, reality shows that earn cult followings (Love Island). i’m not sure what it is about the past few weeks but - i feel we’ve passed a certain depth in the uncanny valley with higgsfield, suno, and now even just opus 5.5 itself & of course are only propelling forwards. give it until 2030 and we’re going to be absolutely overwhelmed with compelling content for those with access (if we aren’t already)
opus 5.5 is sufficiently good at pure-code art generation that i plan to sell all my existing framed posters and just make ones that i like better via prompting. and if i dont like them in a few months? i’ll just make more, all without having to pay any of the usual premium beyond the cost of paper. its unclear to me what impact stuff like this has on the economy at large, but i sure hope someone figures it out soon

I asked Opus 5.5 to take us behind the scenes to see how much went into this. It follows one tile out of the 13,081 back through the code that drew it, then lights the frame back up one number at a time.
watching a conversion in realtime is one of my favorite things @coolastekatten

people are tripping on this benchmark from sonnet 5.5 vs opus 5.5 it just means it’ll work longer than opus and is basically an over-thinker. i just tested it and it costs more and takes longer to solve the same task. the opus 5.5 model is truly in a league of its own.
