Ko smo se odločali za vstop v EU, si ni nihče predstavljal, da bo v kaki njeni članici in uniji nasploh mogoče brez posledic:
1. Razveljaviti predsedniške volitve (Romunija);
2. Ukiniti informativni program na nacionalni RTV (Madžarska);
3. Poslati policijo na Ustavno sodišče (Poljska);
4. Tri tedne pred volitvami poslati v zapor predsednika stranke, ki vodi v anketah (Slovenija);
5. Zasesti nacionalno RTV s policijo in zamenjati vodstvo (Poljska);
6. Prekiniti mandate vodstvu nacionalne RTV in izvesti čistko zaposlenih (Slovenija);
7. Poslati v zapor člane prejšnje vlade brez možnosti obrambe (Madžarska);
8. Podeliti skoraj milijon državljanstev ilegalnim migrantom po hitrem postopku (Španija);
9. Zapreti novo Nuklearno elektrarno in zgraditi plinovod do Rusije (Nemčija);

Poland's Constitutional Tribunal is being subjected to an extraordinary takeover operation by pro-EU Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Its official website has been taken over, an announcement has appeared removing its president and vice-president from their duties, and police have been deployed around the institution.
The Tribunal's existing leadership has declared the operation illegal and accused those responsible of committing a coup d'état.
The Constitutional Tribunal is the institution responsible for reviewing whether laws comply with the Constitution. It is broadly comparable to the constitutional-review function of the United States Supreme Court.
Today, its website announced that President Bogdan Święczkowski and Vice-President Bartłomiej Sochański had been suspended for one month.
The person now claiming authority over Poland's Constitutional Tribunal is Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, elected to the Tribunal by Donald Tusk's parliamentary majority in March 2026.
But there is a fundamental legal problem: she has never taken her judicial oath before the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki.
Under Article 4 of the Act on the Status of Constitutional Tribunal Judges, newly elected judges must take their oath before the President of the Republic.
Nawrocki refused to receive her oath. Instead, on April 9, Korwin-Piotrowska participated in an alternative swearing-in ceremony organised inside the Polish Parliament, without the President's presence or participation.
The Presidential Chancellery explicitly declared that this procedure had no legal basis and could not confer judicial authority. The existing leadership of the Constitutional Tribunal maintains that she is therefore not legally a judge of the institution.
And now, a woman whose authority to serve as a constitutional judge is rejected by the President and the Tribunal's existing leadership is being presented as the person entitled to take control of the entire court.
Poland's Constitution does not give the prime minister or his government the power to dismiss the Constitutional Tribunal's leadership.
Article 194 establishes the Tribunal's composition and the procedure for appointing its president. Article 195 guarantees the independence of its judges.
The announcement of a suspension relies on Article 130 of the law governing ORDINARY COURTS. Invoking this article to suspend the leadership of the Constitutional Tribunal is a legally indefensible distortion of the law, revealing a staggering disregard for elementary constitutional principles.
HOW DID POLAND GET HERE?
Donald Tusk returned to power in December 2023, promising to reverse the judicial reforms introduced under the conservative Law and Justice government.
Those reforms had been fiercely opposed by the European Commission, which initiated rule-of-law proceedings against Poland and linked access to European funding to judicial conditions.
Tusk's government subsequently presented Brussels with a programme for restructuring the judiciary, including the Constitutional Tribunal. The European Commission welcomed that programme and ended its Article 7 proceedings against Poland in 2024.
The methods used by the EU and its supporters undermine the very constitutional principles they claim to restore.
President Karol Nawrocki has reportedly interrupted his journey to Senegal to return to Poland.

Nebezpečný mýtus: Svoboda je rovnovážný výchozí stav. Bohužel svobodná společnost není ani rovnovážný, ani výchozí stav, do kterého se společnost po svém vychýlení směrem k nesvobodě vrací. Je to naprosto výjimečná situace v lidských dějinách.
Historická anomálie se formovala během dlouhých staletí. Její první zárodky se objevily v roce 1215 v Anglii. V tomto roce byla v Anglii podepsána slavná „Magna Carta Libertatum”, první dokument v historii, který se nějakým způsobem pokusil omezit absolutní moc krále. Nikdo podpis na listině nebral moc vážně, a proto se krátce poté rozpoutala takzvaná první válka baronů. Kdo by také chtěl dát svobodu poddaným bez boje?
Trvalo dalších více než 450 let, než vznikla první deklarace nějakých lidských práv. Psal se rok 1688 a dokument nese název „Declaration of Rights”. Měl 13 klauzulí a ta s číslem osm ustavuje, že „parlament musí být svobodně zvolen”. Za deklaraci zaplatilo mnoho statečných mužů svou krví během anglické „Glorious Revolution”. Za 88 let se za oceánem další muži odvážili podepsat listinu, ve které přímo v její preambuli napsali, že o osudu národa budou rozhodovat „jeho lidé”. Opět tekla krev, protože svoboda se nikomu dobrovolně nedává.
Svoboda není rovnovážný stav. Je to spíše vůz se čtyřmi koly na vrcholu strmého kopce, u kterého v každém okamžiku trčí jedno kolo ve vzduchu a pro rozjezd stačí, aby se pohnulo kolo druhé. Důkazem jsou události posledních několika let v zemích západní civilizace.
Nebezpečí prvního mýtu pramení z víry, že se kára vrátí nahoru sama. Že není třeba vynaložit žádné úsilí nebo že si ti, kteří strčili do druhého kola, uvědomí, že přestřelili.
Přejme České republice k jejím narozeninám hodně občanů, kteří se odhodlají držet vší silou druhé kolo.

Demokracie je forma vlády, jejíž historie kanonicky sahá nějakých 2500 let do minulosti.
První veřejnoprávní médium vzniklo před cca 100 lety.
Tvrzení, že "VPM jsou pilířem liberální demokracie" nenalézá oporu v realitě. Nedá se dost dobře historicky podepřít, stejně tak se nenachází pomoc v klasicky liberálním myšlení.
Dokonce je mu spíš v protikladu.
Je to jen politický slogan, jehož pravdivost se nezkoumá.

Monogamous marriage, which enables the extended family and provisions resources across generations, constitutes deep cultural technology. We evolved and developed this technology over generations as our culture grew in complexity.
Marriage is not the default state or institution of our species. It represents the advancement of multiple seemingly unrelated concepts: honor, contract law, fidelity, inheritance, romantic love, etc. We had to develop marriage to climb out of the muck of prehistory.
