In 2018–19, I was sitting in a friend's office, looking into crypto.
A guy walked in. He was in the military and asked me if I was into crypto.
I was new to the space and so excited that I started telling him about all the shitcoins, shiny narratives and opportunities.
He listened patiently and said:
"Bro, I don't do all this. I just buy ETH and BTC and hold."
I thought he was a noob who was missing out on all the juicy narratives.
I tried convincing him that I knew more and that he should take risks in those shiny shitcoins.
He smiled and walked away.
That smile said one thing:
"You'll learn soon."
Seven years later, here I am, advocating Bitcoin and telling people to take the easy route.
Shitcoins are meant to go to zero.
Today, people show me shiny new shitcoins, and I just smile.
And that smile says one thing:
"You'll learn."
