This latest news about a 15-year old son who allegedly killed his 45-year-old mother who was found dead inside an old septic tank in Barangay Looc, Panglao, Bohol is so disheartening. According to reports, she was a single mother, whose disagreement with his son started after she reprimanded him for repeatedly cutting classes. The teenager allegedly admitted to killing his mother by strucking his mother’s head with a hammer during the confrontation & dragged her body to an old septic tank and covered it with rocks. But what is more alarming is there's also a possibility of sexual assault after the victim was reportedly found without clothing. 😭 May the son receive the proper counseling, intervention and diversion programs by DSWD. Since he is just 15 years old, so he is exempt from criminal responsibility under the Minimum Age of Criminal Responsibility (MACR) unless they are proven to have acted with discernment (the ability to tell right from wrong).
