Here are a few highlights from our K-8 multidisciplinary makerspace at @PHLschools Marian Anderson School:
In kindergarten, we created algorithms to navigate a neighborhood using @KUBO_Robot and used Google Slides to make pictographs about things we like to do, veggies we like.
Students in our afterschool WHYY Media Lab program took two field trips this spring. One to @NBCPhiladelphia / @Telemundo62 and another to @WHYYNews to learn about news and journalism. They’re also finishing up their spring news stories.
Finally, students in grades 1-3 participated in after school robotics clubs in the spring. Students in grades 4-5 served as mentors alongside parent volunteers and students from @PennEngineers.
