This explanation is the most logical explanation for ourselves that I have ever encountered. It literally makes sense of everything.

Jeremy Griffith's 𝑭𝑹𝑬𝑬𝑫𝑶𝑴 explains that despite our species’ extraordinary capacity for empathy, cooperation, creativity, and love—there is a darker side. Alongside scientific breakthroughs, artistic achievement, and acts of compassion lies an unspeakable record of troubled and destructive behaviour. No other species exhibits such a profound contradiction between sensitivity and brutality.
While instincts can automatically orient behavior, a conscious, nerve-based intellect requires understanding. As the emerging intellect began experimenting in self-management, those instinctive orientations effectively ‘criticised’ and resisted these deviating experiments.ict with pre-existing instinctive orientations shaped by genetic selection.
While instincts can automatically orient behavior, a conscious, nerve-based intellect requires understanding. As the emerging intellect began experimenting in self-management, those instinctive orientations effectively ‘criticized’ and resisted these deviating experiments.
This unavoidable conflict produced an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity, leading humans to become psychologically defensive—attacking, trying to prove wrong and blocking out the instincts’ ‘criticism’, which is our present, angry, egocentric, and alienated human condition.
Once the origin of this conflict is understood, the need for such defensiveness is removed, making possible 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬’ 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. As he says, “It brings about the real repair, in fact, the transformation of ourselves and our planet. It fixes the world!”

What Is It About the Human Condition That Means We Are Never Happy? via @okmagazine okmagazine.com/p/what-is-it-…
"Here on Earth some of the most complex arrangements of matter in the known universe have come into existence. Life in all its diversity developed. And the most wondrous of nature’s achievements is the human mind. With our conscious ability to comprehend and thus manage the relationship between cause and effect we have achieved so much. We have been truly inspired as we cured disease and sent man to the moon. AND YET, despite our species’ magnificent mental capabilities and undeniable capacity for immense sensitivity and love, behind each wondrous scientific achievement and every sensitive artistic expression and compassionate act lies the shadow of humanity’s darker side—an unspeakable history of greed, hatred, rape, torture, murder and war; a propensity for shocking deeds of violence, depravity, indifference and cruelty.
Historically we have simply excused the darker aspect of our nature as a relic of a competitive and aggressive animal past, where the instinct to survive and reproduce genes dictated behaviour. But is this not just a convenient excuse we used while we searched for the real reason for our divisive nature? After all, words used to describe human behaviour such as egocentric, arrogant, inspired, depressed, deluded, optimistic, pessimistic, hateful, immoral, guilt-ridden, evil, psychotic, neurotic, or alienated, all recognise the involvement of our species’ fully conscious thinking mind. They demonstrate that there is a psychological dimension to our behaviour. That we don’t suffer from a genetic-opportunism-driven ‘animal condition’ we suffer from the psychologically troubled HUMAN CONDITION.
But if our animal instincts aren’t to blame, does this mean humans simply have an evil nature? For some 2 million years—which is the likely time we have been fully conscious—we have wrestled with this problem, which has in turn generated a tremendous amount of guilt and subconsciously weighed heavily on us as a species.
World-renowned biologist Jeremy Griffith has dedicated his life to understanding and explaining the HUMAN CONDITION. After decades of research his astonishing breakthroughs are finally ready to share, and many experts agree they will save the world. [ON SCREEN: “This explanation is the holy grail of insight for the psychological rehabilitation of the human race.” Professor Harry Prosen, Former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association]
The first concept in understanding the HUMAN CONDITION is relatively easy to grasp. Like all living creatures, our species must once have been instinctively controlled, but then we evolved a conscious mind capable of understanding cause and effect. And from that moment on our conscious mind has been in a wrestling match with our original instinctive orientations for the control of our lives. And it is this conflict that is the cause of our HUMAN CONDITION.
Our newer nerve-based, conscious mind began to act independently of our instincts; in effect, defy them. When our instincts resisted and gave conflicting instructions; they, in effect, ‘criticised’ our conscious mind’s search for knowledge. The inevitable result was that we became angry, defensive and determined to prove our instincts’ ‘criticism’ was undeserved. We unavoidably became sufferers of the HUMAN CONDITION.
Freeing ourselves of this suffering is the key to our future and will open the floodgates to the enormous potential in humans that has been stifled. A whole new world will suddenly open up for the human race. Our species’ journey to enlightenment truly does have a happy ending.
And if the conscious mind is nature’s greatest invention, which it surely is, and it had to suffer living with unjust ‘criticism’ from our instincts for some 2 million years, we humans must be the absolute heroes of the story of life on Earth!
We invite you to learn more about this world-saving, breakthrough explanation that will transform your life, and the life of every other human."

A deeply appreciative post on the "Island of Sanity in a sea of madness" Facebook Community FIX THE WORLD.
"This picture of the 1796 painting by J.M.W. Turner called Fishermen at Sea is a particularly good description of humanity’s 2-million-year struggle to find knowledge. It is a terrifying painting to look at if you were to be honest with yourself and I would not have been able to contemplate a painting like this or its deeper meaning before reading and understanding Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition.
I can finally make sense of my life and life in general now that Jeremy has provided the full picture of our species journey from our glorious but non insightful instinctive past to our heroic albeit completely broken and corrupted current intellectual, self-managing selves. With this full explanation of the human condition and how it has finally been solved we can now admit the absolute torture our species has suffered for so long not knowing if we were good or evil! And, now that we can finally be honest with ourselves, we can now finally acknowledge and appreciate the deeper meaning in all our great and honest works of literature, music and art, especially like in Turner’s profound painting below!
Jeremy gives the most impressively honest insight about this painting in FREEDOM as he writes ‘This painting by Turner is an equally powerful portrayal of how absolutely incredibly HEROIC the human race has been, huddled together as best we could for some reassurance, and with a few provisions, while we struggled through 2million years of terrifying darkness and tumultuous storms. To be given a fully conscious brain, the marvellous computer we have on our heads, but not be given the program for it and instead be left ‘a restless wanderer on the earth’ (Bible, Gen. 4:14)searching for that program/understanding in a dreadful darkness of confusion and bewilderment, most especially about our worthiness or otherwise as a species, was the most diabolical of tortures; as the great denial-free thinking prophet Isaiah put it: ‘justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows. Like the blind we grope along the wall, feeling our way like men without eyes…Truth is nowhere to be found’ (Bible, Isa. 59). Those lyrics that so plead the terrible agony of our species’ seemingly lost and meaningless condition—‘How does it feel to be on your own, with no direction home, like a complete unknown’—have understandably led to the 1965 song from which they come, Like a Rolling Stone by that prophet of our time, Bob Dylan, to be voted the greatest of all time by that arbiter of popular music, Rolling Stone magazine, in 2011. Yes, how incredibly heroic have we humans been—and how wonderful, beyond-the-powers-of-description, is it to now have freed ourselves from that horrific situation where the ‘truth’ about ourselves was ‘nowhere to be found’!
Indeed! How incredible we humans have been! 🎉💥"

Human brain development was one of the fascinating things that I learned when reading Jeremy's work. I just never delved that deeply into the fact that we didn't always have this brain. So, this explanation was the brain food I needed.
Key to biologist Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is an understanding of the difference between our instincts and intellect, and the effect that difference has had on our behaviour. He explains that when we humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. Natural selection of genes gives species’ instinctive orientations, such as to a migratory flight path for birds, but a nerve-based conscious mind needs understanding to operate, so when a fully conscious mind emerges and begins experimenting in understanding it unavoidably comes into conflict with the already established instinctive orientations that are in effect intolerant of these deviating experiments in self-management.
The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric, the upset state we refer to as the human condition—a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.

What is the Integrative Meaning of life?
Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith explains that the meaning of life is integration — the negative entropy driven process that creates greater integration or order of matter.
There is actually a very obvious direction and purpose to existence, which is the ordering or integration of matter into ever larger and more stable wholes. Over the eons out in the universe, a chaotic cosmos continues to organise itself into stars, planets and galaxies. And here on Earth, as the chart below illustrates, atoms became ordered or integrated to form molecules → which in turn integrated to form compounds → virus-like organisms → single-celled organisms → multicellular organisms → and then societies of multicellular organisms.
So the theme or purpose or meaning of existence is the ordering or integration of matter, a process that is driven by the physical law of Negative Entropy.
These quotes from Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein (respectively) indicate how prevalent this underlying order is: ‘The overwhelming impression is of order…[in] the universe’ (‘The Time of His Life’, Gregory Benford, Sydney Morning Herald, 28 Apr. 2002), and that ‘behind everything is an order’ (Einstein Revealed, PBS, 1997).
There is, however, an immense problem admitting this truth of integrative meaning, and that is it unbearably confronts us with our divisive, seemingly disintegrative selfish, competitive and aggressive human condition.
The fact is that for a larger whole to form and hold together (integrate) the parts of that whole must consider the welfare of the whole above their own welfare. Simply stated, selflessness is integrative while selfishness is divisive or disintegrative. But this implies that we selfish and competitive humans have been living in defiance of ‘Integrative Meaning’, living in a way that is out of step with creation!
In fact, Integrative Meaning has been such a terrifyingly condemning truth that we divisively behaved humans couldn’t face it. And so, to avoid facing it, we deified the process of Integrative Meaning as ‘God’, thus making it something separate and superior to us, not connected to us in an earthly, practical way.
So, ‘God’ is the personification of Integrative Meaning, a personification that was necessary while we selfish and competitive humans couldn’t explain why we were seemingly at odds with ‘God’!
IT IS ONLY NOW that we have the redeeming explanation of humans’ divisively behaved human condition (that biologist Jeremy Griffith has found and presented in Video/Freedom Essay 3: THE EXPLANATION of the human condition and chapter 1 of his book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition), that we can at last afford to demystify ‘God’ as Integrative Meaning.
