Buckle up for some common sense commentary that will probably piss off both the left and the right😄🤷♂️:

Here is the first of a series of videos I made explaining what led to the midterms bloodbath.
The first culprit: Tariffs
I do too😁
Just gonna put it out there that I still have my @RonDeSantis for president t-shirt from the first time around…
At the time this happened I was saying that this debate mattered wayyyy more for the future of this country than two old men arguing about their golf swing.
Was that @RonDeSantis vs @GavinNewsom debate we had on @FoxNews in 2023 a preview of bigger things to come? 👀
TBD…
Imagine getting utterly smashed in the midterms and still having nothing better to do than attack the most successful governor in the country and the ONLY person to keep his state solid red this week.
People who have “Franco Fridays” for themselves shouldn’t be taken seriously in the slightest.
Many of us still care about fighting for conservative principles such as limited government and being pro free markets, and actually DELIVERING on these things.

You don’t play nice with theocratic thugs.
The point of war is victory. You finish the job.
Funny how many in the anti-forever war crowd push negotiations like this to “end the war”, which is ironically how you get a forever war.
Spot on🎯
I’m not sure it’s the same thing. War is never popular. If popularity determines whether we defend ourselves, we’ll never be able to do so. And our enemies will know it.
Retreating from the world stage would mark the end of the American empire and pave the way for an Islamo-communist empire to take its place.
I think the Trump administration’s biggest failure has been its lack of clear communication with the public, including on MAHA, ICE, Tariffs and Epstein.
It’s as though somebody gagged the Cabinet secretaries. Nobody is explaining what they’re doing for the American people or addressing the questions people are asking.
My guess is that most young voters who have lost trust in the administration feel gaslit. They sense corruption and a lack of authenticity.
A possible silver lining to the midterms is it may have paved the way for a DeSantis return in 2028. Florida was the only victory and major state that held the line last night no thanks to him turning Florida solid red over the years. Another thing for him to add to his already fantastic record.
It's an ugly truth, but last night was a major rebuke to Trump/MAGA and the Republican party in general. Whoever runs in 2028 will have to tout Trump's victories but also run outside of MAGA and demand accountability on where things have gone wrong.
DeSantis is the perfect person for this and perhaps the most pro-fiscal responsibility, limited government, and anti-corruption elected Republican in the country. Not to mention he is a staunch defender of free market capitalism (which is perhaps the most important fight right now) and has excellent foreign policy views that align with the best elements of Trump's "peace through strength" approach as displayed in the past.

Trump didn’t lose the Mid Terms because he started the war with Iran. He lost because he didn’t FINISH IT.

For those making the case Republicans lost Texas because it’s no longer white enough: How white is Kansas?

Bad news is we lost senate seats that won't be winnable for six years. Gut wrenching.
Here's the good news: in terms of electoral prospects, this is super easy to fix. Trivial, even:
1. End the tariffs now. If the Admin wants to make a case for a few targeted ones for bad actors, fine. But the broad tariffs must stop.
2. Either go balls to the wall on Iran to finish the regime, or pull out of the war. Do more limited stuff like "midnight hammer" if Iran tries to rebuild its nuclear program, but that's it.
3. Do not back off the stuff that IS going well, and a lot is. Crime at record lows. Border under control. ATF and 2nd Amendment Section doing great work. Government employment reduced. Etc. Do not learn the wrong lessons from what was an inflation-related election blowout and undermine the things that are working.
4. Finally, and this one may be the hardest for Trump: limit the stupid distractions.
Republicans got shellacked so hard that there aren’t even attempts being made to say the elections were rigged.
I disagree with quite a bit of what @MattWalshBlog says these days, but he is spot on here.
Way too many people forget that politicians, including the president, work for us.

My only silver lining is that I think this makes a DeSantis presidency more likely.
It’s going to be harder now for someone associated with the Trump presidency to win the nomination and easier for an outsider.
Goodness knows I’d love Rubio, but it may be DeSantis’ time.
If your takeaway from Texas turning blue is that it’s because there aren’t enough white people in it, you deserve to lose again and again until people move on from your brainrot.
I’ll never forget that we passed up the perfect presidential candidate because he was awkward and we didn’t like his boots or something.
