@BT. mum has Alzheimers and I signed her up to your social tariff. You then cancelled the order THREE TIMES. She's now been cut off from her old old provider on the date the engineer was supposed to come. Now someone with Alzheimers has no phone or Internet, cut off from family.
Hey @SouthernWater what is the excuse this time for it not to be safe to swim in the sea at Worthing? Why have you been dumping sewage this time?

If you stopped dumping #sewage in the sea maybe people wouldn’t need to use paddling pools! #DirtyWater

.... No10 see this is a communications and stakeholder error not a policy messup. So for them, it's business as usual.
I'm as sure as I can be that the Bank of England - and much of the City and the IMF - do not agree

Golly.
Markets are now pricing in 5.5% interest rates from the @bankofengland next year.
Up from 4.75% yesterday.
Deutsche Bank saying BoE may need to table an emergency rate hike as soon as next week.
Extraordinary.
And, as I said yday, higher rates are a big, big deal.
Ugh.

As @trussliz takes the reigns of @10DowningStreet, we went to the @hmtreasury today to continue pushing for a reduction in VAT on public EV charging.
We were very frank about what the catastrophic increases in charging costs will mean for the EV transition.

Always embarrassing as a trade body when civil servants are forced to inform the press that you “demonstrate a woeful misunderstanding of the situation” 🔥

We all know Quality Street chocolates. They are a core part of any British Christmas, especially moaning on about the price of them as compared to the amount of chocolate. But do you know why they are called Quality Street?

We’re delighted to have the support of Secretary of State @DWP, @ThereseCoffey for @RHANews #NationalLorryWeek. She absolutely ‘gets’ the key role the road transport and logistics industry plays in keeping the nation’s supply chain moving.

No costing for Green Homes Grant (or replacement) in HMT documents. Looks like it's been pulled.
On current trends this will mean less than 50k efficiency upgrades

Expecting big cut in funding for home efficiency upgrades
telegraph.co.uk/property/uk/…
Trimming support for Green Homes Grant to £320m would only upgrade 75-80k homes
Would also be a 90% cut on targeted installation rates from the 600k in 6 months target

I don't think Tory backbenchers will be happy when they are told about the number of higher rate taxpayers just created.
