The #RedSox today announced that they have exercised the club’s 2029 and 2030 contract options on Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow and named Chad Tracy the team’s 49th manager in club history, agreeing to a three-year contract that will run through the 2029 season with a club option in 2030.

Chad was asked to step into a difficult situation with little notice, but the trust he immediately commanded at the major league level was earned through years of work across our organization. What this team has accomplished over the past several months has been historic. Results matter greatly in this business, but so do judgment, character, and the ability to bring out the best in others. Cr

Just see it and hit it can be a tough solution. Where and how you want to miss versus pitch type matters. Direction & path matter.

You should only read so much CLA. The rest should be learned by actually doing it. Rich in theory is a great way to write a textbook. Rich in application is called coaching. Know enough to get started. Learn the rest as you go.

Before engaging in conversation, I try to ask myself: “Do I want to be interesting or interested?" @mikelinch Being interesting is about me. Being interested is about them. Real connections happen when curiosity outweighs ego.

It's the final day of the draft which feels like a perfect time to show some appreciation for the folks with their boots on the ground that accomplish a seemingly impossible task every year: area scouts. None of this would be possible without their work.
