Marking yet another momentous milestone in my writing: This is the 258th & final book for me to reference. It’s a beauty to finish on. #Twitterstorians #2ndMarne.
Best conference yet! #gwgLeeds I’ve had a BRILLIANT time at this year’s conference.
I love this group!!!
That's something you don't see every day:
Yvan Nicoloff: Deserted to the enemy from a patrol on 18th May 1918. Nicoloff was a member of Company G, 26th Infantry, 1st Division, AEF.
Quick question: would the AEF of August 1918 have had men originally from the Indian subcontinent serving within its ranks? Pvt Mike Ahmed, Co. F, 16th Infantry.

Today marks 31 years since Old Trafford witnessed one of the shock results of the 90s.
Manchester Utd 0-3 York City.
Some serious David and Goliath stuff in the Coca-Cola Cup.

In that case, he’s up alongside @olliepearce1 of @YorkCityFC with 16 goals and 6 assists over the same period! #JustStopOllie
My post match summary: a game of 2 halves & we looked out of ideas in the 2nd half. I was looking forward to seeing Banks boss the midfield but he was very poor tonight- gave penalty away & looked leggy. Surprised he wasn’t subbed. Pearce ran his socks off; Fallowfield solid. 1/
On tonight’s performance I think Harrison Male can count himself unlucky to have been released. Nothing I saw from McNally filled me with confidence (apart from one smart save).
Midfield was our weak spot tonight. Time and again there was no one in centre midfield to pass to 2/
I’m really looking forward to watching @YorkCityFC tonight. My first game since jinxing is at Boreham Wood last season, when my attendance brought our winning run to an end.
Here’s hoping for good fortune!!
Does anyone have a map of the Nivelle Offensive, which shows the planned objectives prior to its start?
I’d like to understand the scale of ambition of the offensive.

Suicide is not selfish. The causes leading to suicide can affect anyone. Do not judge people unless you know their circumstances.
Around 75% to 76% of all suicides in the UK are male.
Roughly 13 to 14 men die by suicide each day in the UK.
Men aged 50–54 recorded the highest specific age rate in recent ONS registrations (27.5 per 100,000), though suicide is also a leading cause of death for younger men and boys under 35.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in distress there is help out there. Check in on them. You can call Samaritans for free at any time day or night on 116 123 or call 111 for NHS mental health services.
