I find the newest “anti remote-work” propaganda amusing. If anything, remote work will help you avoid becoming like the person in the pic. When you work remotely, you can fragment your working day as you wish. You can exercise, stretch, sleep or do any other activity. On the contrary, in an office, you spend almost all of the 8 hours sitting. Nice try though!

If England's private water companies invested at the same rate as publicly owned Scottish Water, £28BN more would have gone into the system. That's almost 3X the investment they've just announced. But remember: it's your fault there's a sewage scandal!dailymail.co.uk/news/article…

This is brutal… Johnson scammed Dorries like he scammed the country:
Dorries REALLY wanted to be a peer. Boris promised her she would be a peer .... and then via @thetimes

If you were given an honour by a man who that very day resigned from parliament in disgrace after a report by his fellow MPs would you keep it?

I’m now out of the police station. Still waiting for my colleagues. Make no mistake. There is no longer a right to peaceful protest in the UK. I have been told many times the monarch is there to defend our freedoms. Now our freedoms are under attack in his name.

1/22 This is Svetlana Maniovich. She is your guide to the world of extreme Russian glamour. She radiates richness. Diamonds, furs, Rolls Royces - she has it all and more. In summer you can find her in St Tropez where she rents a villa for €150k/month, or on a yacht in Naples🧵

Isn’t it crazy how… The Govt’s new Elections Bill permits older person’s bus passes and Oyster 60+ cards to be used as ID But not student cards and young persons railcards And we’re just like… Yeah, it’s just the Tories doing some election-rigging Cool cool.

People with personal chickens 🐓 in East Palestine are all reporting ALL of their chickens are suddenly deceased. But the RR assures everyone the Plume of Death from the controlled explosion is “perfectly safe” 😱😖

I’m trying to gather information on this very serious situation in Ohio involving a train derailment with hazardous chemicals. What I will say is this. Trust your eyes, ears and nose and get the hell out of there if your senses are telling you too.

All those who look at polls now and think Labour is guaranteed 2024 are, I suggest, seriously mistaken. I don’t think so. The English like being punished by the wealthy. And large numbers will be persuaded by the claim inflation was the enemy Sunak will have beaten.

It needs to be emphasized that what we're seeing with SARS-CoV-2 variant evolution now is something new. 🧵

Imagine you're Kwasi Kwarteng: you've got strident views about economic policy and you even wrote a book about it. you finally get the job as chancellor, the peak of your game, and get to test out your ideas! turns out they are garbage and the economy explodes

The Bank of England has a supposed duty to control inflation in the UK, being required to ensure it runs at about 2% a year. The crash in the value of the pound this weekend makes that even more unlikely. What will the Bank do now? A short thread…..

Odey employs Kwarteng. Odey bankrolls Brexit. Brexit destabilises UK. Kwarteng becomes Chancellor. Odey bets against GBP. Kwarteng destabilises GBP. Odey reaps enormous rewards. Do you see how it works yet? And this is just one example, of many. reuters.com/business/finance…
