Baier: When they say they’re stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon do you care about that? El-Sayed: Of course I do. We had done that under Obama. If Trump had cared about stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, he wouldn't have torn up the JCPOA. This is entirely about his vanity.

On "shit countries." The very first refugee I interviewed during my time in Nairobi with the @JesuitRefugee Service was a Somali man named Ali. This was in 1992, at the beginning of my two-year stay, and I was helping at a UN intake center that was processing asylum applications. Later I would meet and work with many Somali refugees, who had fled the war that had recently consumed their country. At first, I assumed Ali was some sort of nomad or perhaps a poor farmer, because of his dissheveled appearance and his ragged clothes. I saw him as a "typical refugee," though I had little understanding of what that meant. At the time I had already learned a little Swahili so I asked him, rather pompously, what language he would like to speak in. He replied in perfect English, "I can speak in Swahili of course, but also English, French, Italian and," he paused, "Latin." Ali had been a professor of philosopy at the University of Mogadishu who had received his doctorate at the University of Florence. He had fled violence in his country, along with his family, and ended up in Nairobi. (I tell his story at length, which I transcribed from a tape, in my book "This Our Exile.") "I have five children, all small," he said. "We just want peace now." It is easy to call countries "shit countries," especially if you've not spent much time there or don't know many people from that country. Most migrants and refugees would much prefer to stay home, but war, violence or famine prevents that. And they do exactly what we would do: flee to a safe place to protect their families and themselves. I will always remember Ali, and how he challenged my idea of what a refugee is. Basically, they are us.
Q: If there is a problem with Ilhan Omar's age, could she be deported? TRUMP: She could be. She could also go to jail. I think she's a sick, very dishonest person who hates our country. She comes from a country that is essentially not even a country. Somalia. It's a real shit house.

Nothing wrong with this answer; they didn't ask Tommy to do much. I think it's obvious you have to make the change at this point, but there needs to be an explanation for the change in play-calling and scheme in the second half. No reason Underwood couldn't have straight-give in pistol, split zone, majority 11 personnel.
Kyle Whittingham says he's not prepared to say Tommy Carr will be the starter moving forward. Needs to look at the film and evaluate what improved in the second half. #GoBlue

The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

We need to have a conversation about Davis Warren. He's playing himself onto NFL Draft Boards.

I get that games have protocols, but there was 1 second left on the stadium clock when the first Michigan Hail Mary ended. NBC’s feed was slightly delayed (but its clock was accurate) causing the confusion. There is an entire rabbit hole you can go down to understand why this is somewhat common. The coaches, players and fans see the stadium clock, not the TV broadcast. In real life, inside the actual stadium, the B10 was right and NBC was wrong but due to protocols it’s the opposite.
I've seen a lot of people still struggling with understanding what happened at the end of the UM WMU game. With the release of what I consider to be the best angle (shows both the play and the in-stadium clock in HD), I did my best to provide context surrounding the play.

I went looking for proof Western Michigan got robbed. Unfortunately, I’m now somewhat confident Michigan deserved the extra play 😭 Used Astra to sync two camera angles, check the visible stadium-clock ticks, and examine the first touch frame by frame. Both possible frames when the ball was first touched leave time remaining. Even using the latest possible frame & shifting the sync one frame against Michigan leaves about 0.03 seconds on the clock.. Don't hate me for this, it hurts me as much as you 🥲

I get it. I didn't think there was time left watching it live because that's what NBC was telling us. But since then, the MAC released a statement demanding transparency; the Big Ten released an explanation that included the video/audio from the review; and the MAC thanked them and agreed with the process and call. If you're still mad, screaming conspiracy, or whatever else, you just want your bias confirmed. Opinions should evolve with facts. We haven't seen a process this transparent by a sports body, I'd say, ever, unless someone else has a better example. Did Michigan deserve to win after that entire game? That's a different question, but man, there's no conspiracy with the call, quite the opposite in fact.

Doesn’t matter. The usual suspects will still believe the league cheated the Broncos. Because we all know how much the league loves Michigan. lol dummies.

Noticed this live on the NBC clock...It was out of sync The officials said to put 9 seconds on the clock. Not 8 1/3. The NBC clock missed 2/3 of a second which caused the confusion.
