Windrush wasn’t just a ship; it was a legacy 💭 #ThoughtForTheDay
A report released in September 2024 highlighted that between 1950 and 1981, all immigration and citizenship legislation in the UK was designed, at least in part, to reduce the number of non-white people permitted to live and work in the country?
Thoughts?

We were thrilled to host our ‘Building A Better Future’ event in Islington on January 28, 2025, at the Black Cultural Centre. The event provided vital support for the Windrush community, offering guidance on compensation and status schemes.

Our History: RIP…Sharpe (1832); Bogle and Gordon (1865). Religious heroes who fought for freedom and were executed during and after slavery. This meeting between the Archbishop and Prime Minister must result in an educational development that says clearly, we are ‘one humanity’.
Yesterday I met with the Most Reverend Justin Welby the Archbishop of Canterbury, and his wife, Mrs Welby.
We discussed the role of the church in society in areas such as health and education with a focus on how the church can support Jamaica’s education access goals by funding schools.
Being in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, we also discussed Jamaica’s recovery plan.
I was happy to be joined for this meeting by the Most Reverend Howard Gregory, Bishop of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands along with members of the leadership of the Anglican Church in Jamaica.
